While it was appealing to let the kids have a sleep over it made no sense to put them over the family room unless all the parents were going to go to bed at 8pm. "Booked this property to watch the 2024 solar eclipse (more than 2 years advance!) and it did not disappoint! Beyond the fact that it was the perfect size for my group (7 adults), very clean, and stocked with everything we could possibly need, the best part of this property by far is the views!! I highly recommend this property - the property manager is great, was a great value, and it was the perfect setting for witnessing the total eclipse - an experience I’ll never forget!"

Instead we visited near by Salamanca, NY (home of Seneca Allegany Casino, Seneca Gaming, Seneca Iroquois National Museum and nearby Allegany State Park). The park was such great spot to hike with our dog and if you're interested in spending time in the Casino it's really close. We wanted to visit the Museum...

Even getting us out of the mud on the first night. Close to some of the best wineries and eats in the area, and a short drive to some very visually stunning parks beyond the lake itself. "Check in was very easy, I was given a code to a lockbox. I overpacked assuming it would be a little more rustic, turns out it has all the comfort and conveniences of home. Cottage, grounds, and hot tub were clean and inviting. We were there very early spring before the leaves grew on the trees and the view was incredible! There’s a nice hiking trail a mile down the road, and water access directly across the street. This place exceeded my expectations all around! Book it!"
