"The room were clean, comfortable and well appointed with tea and coffee facilities. Bathroom was spotless with shower gel and shampoo provided and extra large fluffy bath sheets. A little warm due to excessive summer temperatures, however fans and air conditioning units were provided. Fresh milk and cold drinking water and ice was available at the bar which was a nice touch. We didn’t end up eating in the restaurant due to complicated dietary requirements, however everything looked delicious....

"We wanted an overnight stay on our way to the Lake District and found a perfect gem of a hotel. From the moment we arrived we were cared for by great staff. Our bedroom was a suite and just gorgeous. Dinner and breakfast were superb with plenty of choices. Wandering around the extensive beautifully manicured grounds we found the kitchen garden which is obviously used for a great deal of the food in the hotel. Just wished we could have stayed longer. "

The parking is on street parking, but the hotel provided the necessary permits, complete with a photo of how to display them and details of what time the parking ran out.
