God beliggenhed - værelse ikke prisen værd
Beliggenhed helt i top. Tæt på Times Square og subway! Værelset var meget lille, der var ikke plads til kufferterne. Toilettet var meget lavt og pladsen meget trang på badeværelset. Personalet var meget serviceminded og hjælpsomme. Dejligt med gratis kaffe fra 7-9

NY Washington Jefferson Hotel
Værelset havde ingen sammenligning med det viste billede af et 2 sengs værelse. Det var en skotøjsæske uden plads til 2 menneskers tøj i skabet. Der var ret koldt i rummet, og vi brugte vinduet som køleskab, med gardin for, det holdt vandet fint koldt. Der var så man kunne få kaffe men ingen morgenmad om morgenen. Vil dog sige at det ligger rigtig centralt, meget tæt på Broadway, så har man ikke de store forventninger er det ok. Trænger til renovering på gangarealer og af tæppet på værelset.

Hotellets placering er virkelig god.
Hotellet er fint. Sengen er god og værelset har, hvad der som udgangspunkt er brug for. Det eneste som evt. mangler, er et køleskab på værelset. Generelt var personalet meget servicemindet. Specielt herrerne i receptionen var venlige og gode til at give råd til, hvad vi skulle opleve i byen. Hotellets placering er virkelig eminent. Det ligger tæt i gåafstand til Times Square, Central Park osv. Desuden er subway stationerne lige rundt om hjørnet, så det er virkelig nemt at komme rundt fra hotellet. Samlet set var vi meget tilfreds med hotellet i forhold til vores forventninger.

Sehr nah am Times Square. In der Nähe Metro, Bus und genügend Essmöglichkeiten. Mitarbeiter super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zimmer klein und einfach, aber sauber, wird jeden Tag gereinigt. Guter Gratiskaffee. Was will man mehr für einen Kurztrip nach New York? Ich würde es wieder buchen.

Did not get to stay, it seemed that Orbitz sent the reservation cancelation to my email less then 24hours of my arrival so after I got there I was informed that the hotel had been taken over by the city, but they did give me 2 hotel options to stay at and they took care of everything this is the second time this has happened, the last time it was a Hotel in Tampa

The Washington Jefferson Hoyel was closed for renovations when we arrived and we could not stay there. We were directed to go to the Hotel Edison instead.

We didn’t stay at this hotel. Flew into the city late at night only to be told “the government is taking over the hotel we have transferred you to a new hotel you can’t stay here” 45 MINUTES AWAY from the current area no email notification before hand or a call during the daytime hours. While seeing other hotel guest enter and exit the building who were clearly staying in the hotel. Hotel staff did not even know how far the “new” hotel was I had to look it up myself. We were offered up to a $50 cab ride to the new hotel and 2 breakfast vouchers… what a laughable compensation. Hotel staff were not knowledgeable and not helpful. We got a refund and found a better hotel. I wouldn’t waste your time at this place. Stay somewhere else! Also, this hotel staff lied to our travel agency saying we took the transfer hotel when we did not. So for a lack of a better term “scammed” us as we wouldn’t been changed for this stay when we did not stay at this hotel. Therefore, had to fight for our refund from this unworthy hotel. Don’t waste your time and money on this place.

I arrived for check in and was told that I would not be in that hotel and they gave a letter and the adress to the other hotel. Not even providing transportation in the rain

Reservation moved to another hotel
Upon arrival I was told I was being moved to a different (sister) hotel because the city had taken this hotel over. I don't like not having a choice of where I stay. AND, this put me behind on my schedule causing me to miss out on an event I had planned and paid for. A notification BEFORE arriving would have been better. Waste of my time.

Emplacement idéal pour visiter New York, proche de Times Square, Central Park et d’une station de métro. Personnel agréable. Bonne sonorité pour la chambre. Par contre lit trop petit, douche trop longue pour avoir de l’eau chaude (pas très écolo) et wifi qui se déconnecte tout le temps. Mais dans l’ensemble hôtel correct pour un séjour à New York

Unfortunately, they had to move us to their sister hotel, The Edison, because the City of New York took over the hotel. The staff made the shift as painless as possible - but we would have preferred to stay at the WJ.

The Triumph Hotel chain contracted with the city of NY to let them use the WJ Hotel and didn’t inform any guests until we attempted to check-in. They claimed the city “took over” the hotel in a sad attempt to deflect blame. They tried moving me to a hotel up on 77th St when I chose the WJ for its location. Apologies and $10 for cab fare do NOT make up for a lack of communication and horrible inconveniences for the remainder of my visit to the city. Being in a sudden position of having no option I had to agree to a hotel on 44th but three avenues over in the middle of Times Square and the tourist crowds. Any hotel with a genuine concern about service would have owned their decision, contacted reservation holders prior to check-in, and offered the opportunity to cancel, enabling those who chose to find other accommodations. The front desk staff was forced to deal with a lot of disgruntled and angry guests while the people who made this decision sat back and had an obvious lack of empathy while perpetrating this fraud. I suggest avoiding any Triumph Hotel going forward since guest services are placed well below corporate profit.

The hotel is close to broadway, times square and central park. It was surrounded by a ton of places to get different foods as well. Our room was a little small, but we were barely there and it didn't bother us. We had a hair dryer, but the room did not come with a microwave or refrigerator. The front staff was incredibly nice ESPECIALLY the woman who checks us in originally. We would stay here again in the future.

Good: Location (and that’s almost it!) Less good: - pretty small rooms, no place to move. - desk and no place to put a chair in front - smells cigarettes, like really bad (and we had kids with us!) - NOT like in the pictures - asked for towels that we never got. Asked again the next day, we got them too late and we had to leave Booked based on comments and prices. I was not expecting the best but at least like in the pictures. I should have taken more time to read the comments (i really don’t understand the given 5 stars!). I see now that it is the same prepared answer given :(

Terrible..don’t stay there.
Thank goodness my stay was short. It’s old horrible yucky hotel with old furniture that they found in a garage sale. No safe to keep valuables and location is not the best. Tiny bathroom and the tiniest sink you ever saw. Carpet was dirty and wet in some parts. Elevator had a hard wood door to enter and exit any you know it’s bad when they lock the front doors of the hotel at midnight
