Had after hours check in which went well, although gate for accessing parking area was not automatic but manual. Hotel is new in an older building, but that adds to its charm and has all the modern amenities (including A/C, which not all hotels have in the area). "Right across the river from the Musée de la Bande Dessinée! Requires a bit of an uphill hike to get to the center of town but there are also easy nearby bus stops to take you there. Service was fantastic, breakfast was tasty and the hotel is pretty neat. No AC though. "

"This appart-hotel is about a ten minute walk to the centre of Angouleme and the comic strip museum is nearby. The rooms are clean with a kitchenette and a shower room.
Breakfast is reasonable for under 10 euros. The staff are helpful and pleasant. Altogether a good stay. "

"This is a beautiful hotel, set in a tranquil garden, with a lovely view. The staff members were helpful and very friendly, and the room was enormous, interesting and comfortable. We enjoyed being able to walk into town, and around the ramparts of the city. It’s a pity we had just one night, we would have liked to have stayed longer. Very good breakfast"
