Lovely family get-a-way
We stayed just after storms had came through the area so understandably some of the property's attributes were not accessable to us. The floating dock was pulled out of the water and placed on the beach area, which didn't leave too much bank area for fishing, and obstructed the view of the water from the chair swing. The deck was huge and beautiful. The inside of the house was clean and cozy. The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of dishes and cleaning supplies. The washer worked great and there was even a wooden rack available for drying clothes on. Beds were SUPER comfortable. We all really enjoyed staying here and hope to stay again next year!

Perfect cozy cabin by the river
Great quiet neighborhood super close to snowmobile and hiking trails. The cozy cabin is well maintained and clean. Host communication was awesome. Can't wait to go back for a summer trip!

Perfect Cozy Getaway
We loved staying at this property in the off season (December). It was so quiet in the area and we found plenty to do hiking, campfires, and just spending time unwinding. The homes are closer than I could tell from the listing photos, but the trees also had no leaves- it would be more private in the summer. The home was so well stocked that it made cooking out meals a breeze. We have already talked about coming back for the summer. Thank you!

Easy getaway!
Needed a long-weekend getaway. Neat cabin in the woods, on a river. Location is nice because it feels "middle of nowhere" but in fact it's a convenient location to explore the lakes region and get to Portland if desired. Cabin was very clean and well-appointed. Kitchen had everything we needed, no issues with the place whatsoever. We'd come back!

Excellent hosts!
The cottage was charming. I appreciated the attention to detail the hosts left all over the property. Plenty of clear directions. The light switches were even labeled! There were extra chargers and recommendations for anything we could need. Cleaning supplies were plentiful and they even left the most thoughful welcome gift! We 100% would recommend and would stay again.

Quaint little cottage on the water
Quintessential cottage. Everything you would expect for a Maine woods vacation. Clean with everything you need. Nice large deck overlooking the water for relaxing or having a meal. Quiet little neighborhood. Feels like the middle of nowhere yet close to everything. Lakes, shopping and restaurants. Friendly hosts available if needed for anything.

Hummingbird Lane
Hummingbird Lane has stood up for its name as we saw many birds bopping along right near the rear deck! The deck has been redone and is so spacious, clean and comfortable with provided outside chairs and lounge area. Very nice! Unfortunately the weather was not on our side but we did get in to kayak the river and was so beautiful and peaceful Thank you again Kyle, we definitely will be back !

Relaxing stay
The atmosphere of this place was so calm and relaxing. I enjoyed the area and was close to everything we needed or wanted (umbrella factory, Dunkin’ Donuts, family dollar and the causeway) My 3 and 2 year old boys had the best time. Beautiful outdoor trees and got to see a hummingbird come around a few times! Kyle was a great host. I wish we got to stay longer and I look forward to coming back to visit this rental!

Would stay again!
The place was clean and comfortable, Beautiful deck overlooking the Crooked River. Kyle was very responsive to any questions. It was stocked with everything you would need, and then some. Extra cords in case you forgot them for you phone, etc. and a nice little basket in the bathroom with a few toiletries you may have forgotten and a nice first aid kit.

Great Place for exploring Maine with the Dog
Cozy cabin feel with a great space to let my dog run around. She's not a swimmer, but if she was this would be a great spot. A lot trails and hikes nearby. Definitely worth the 2 hour drive from Boston. Thanks Kyle!

Wonderful Spot With Excellent Service
Had an absolutely spectacular time at this beautiful place with my wife and two dogs! Plus, we ended up forgetting a jacket there and they sent it to me extremely fast after getting in touch and refused any sort of compensation for doing so.

Amazing place
We loved our stay in Kyle's cottage. Very cute place and has all you need. And the river outside is just beautiful. The communication with the host was very easy. He really cares about his guests and want to make our stay was great. I highly recommend it.

We had a very nice stay at the Rhoads Family Cottage over the holiday break and the cottage being dog friendly was a bonus. From the time of booking until check-in, the communication with Kyle was fantastic. The cottage was clean and as described. We were hoping for enough snow for snowshoeing, but that wasn't in the cards this week. We did, however, do some nice hikes at the Bald Pate Mountain Preserve and in Sebago Lake State Park, both within 20 minutes away. The cottage is right on a river with a nice big deck and side yard so would certainly be a great place to return for a warm weather visit to enjoy some fun on the water with grilling and yard games. Thank you Rhoads family for sharing your retreat with us.

Peaceful and cozy!
Myself, my husband and our two dogs had a wonderful stay at Kyle‘s cottage. Incredibly warm and cozy feeling. And just beautiful surroundings outside! A full kitchen so we were able to cook our meals if we wanted to. Kyle was an excellent host and quick to respond.

Quiet getaway with dogs
The property was the perfect size for long weekend getaway with our 3 dogs. There was plenty of room for their beds and comfortable accommodations for the adults. House was stocked adequately and we found all equipment we needed. Large yard for dogs to roam and fire pit was a plus. We enjoyed a number of hiking trails nearby and avoided the summer bustle with our timing.

Well equipped cabin/retreat on river
Quiet location along a beautiful river that leads to Sebago Lake. We went during off season so missed out on water activities. Would love to try again in season. Great state park nearby that allows dogs on trails and no hunting allowed. If we go back in November I'd bring fluorescent vests for us and our dog to expand our hiking opportunities. The cabin was great. Although it was just the two of us, it accomodated several more. Heat worked well. Nice deck overlooking the river. Nice neighbors along the rural road. Felt very welcome.

From setting up the reservation to check-out, it was super easy and awesome talking with Kyle. The pictures don't do the place justice. The master bedroom was gigantic and the yard even more perfect. We had our wedding on the beach with the fall foliage surrounding us. Thank you to Kyle for being so awesome and happy to help us!

Cabin in the rivers edge
Great place to enjoy a river and have a camp fire. Nice large deck overlooking the River. Easy access to local lakes and beautiful state park. The causeway is a fun place to grab a bite and have some drinks. Plenty of antique shops a short drive away. Fun for all ages.

Cozy escape on the river
This was a wonderful retreat to relax and enjoy the outdoors. We stayed at this location previously. Everything we needed for our stay was available for our use. The kayak and canoe were great for getting onto the water. It was also very close to Sebago Lake where we enjoyed the beach. The host was excellent with communication and this was the reason we returned to rent his property again.

Peaceful Lazy River Boat Rides
We loved the location! Very nearby grocery stores, restaurants, department stores, etc, while being completely in the woods. The Crooked River was a joy to take my canoe on everyday. The cottage is perfect size for a 4-5 person family. Huge new deck, a large yard, and waterfront with clean, fresh water. Best to check it out for yourselves!

We had a great time in this cozy cottage! We all went kayaking and enjoyed the rustic, woodsy setting. We took a trip to the Sebago State Park, had a picnic and had fun with some water sports there. Kyle was a very accommodating host! Would definitely do this trip again!

Great getaway
Everything was just right and Kyle was terrific with communications. The kitchen is well outfitted with cookware and the beds are comfortable. We enjoyed exploring the Naples and Sebago Lake area and the state park pass allowed us to explore the Sebago Lake State Park and make multiple trips to hike the beautiful trails there. It can be difficult to find such excellent pet-friendly rental cabins and we really appreciated our stay.

Serene riverfront cottage
Kyle's cottage on the river was lovely and peaceful. I was able to take a solo retreat and recharge at this clean, comfortable home. The location was private and quiet (in March), but not far from markets, restaurants, etc. Kyle was a warm and helpful host, with quick response times. Hint: bring your groceries in with you. Once you arrive, you are not going to want to leave!

Cute River Cabin
The cabin was quite cozy and charming and stayed quite warm even on cold nights. It was exceptionally clean when we arrived. The only very minor disappointments we had ( and I do mean minor) were that as a group of chefs and cooks there was no cutting board or baking sheets. Everything else was awesome! Kyle ( the host) was very warm, welcoming and super friendly and easy to deal with. All of our group would definitely return and we’d actually like to enjoy a warm weather stay!

Exactly what we were looking for!
What a fantastic experience! The accommodations were perfect. The place was super clean and the check-in process was seamless. All the comforts of home, but better because you are on vacation! The owner was very responsive to all my questions, we couldn't have asked for a more gracious host. The grounds are perfect for whatever you want to do. Corn-hole, pole-ish horseshoes (not a spelling mistake LOL) and whiffle ball games were all a huge success! We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed the riverfront deck for grilling & the swing for chatting. Upstairs loft became a huge play area! Super close to Sebago Lake and day pass included in rental! Just an hour to Freeport.
