Stayed at this rental in August 2025. For the most part, everything in the listing was represented in the actual property. One noticeable downside was the state of furniture throughout the house, including the exterior. The metal chairs and table are rusting in numerous spots that ruined some clothes for people in our travel party. The bigger couch in the main living space has seen better days and was not comfortable. The beds and pillows were just okay, nothing to write home about.As for convenience items inside the house, most of the cookware was unusable. Most of the pots and pans are either rusting or chipped. Several of the beach chairs that were left in the garage are in terrible condition and need to be thrown away. Also, there was no garage remote that made accessing the golf cart and extra parking space unnecessarily cumbersome.Would I stay here or recommend someone to stay here? No, I would not. There are much better rentals for the money in the area.

Excellent stay!

We had a terrific stay here. Property was as described. Kitchen was well appointed with plenty of dishes and small appliances and the house was very clean. It is close to the beach and was fun to zip around in the golf cart. You do have to walk a short block from the golf cart parking to the beach entrance. That was fine for us, but just a note for anyone with mobility issues. Some days the beach parking was totally full so it was nice that this neighborhood has dedicated parking and entrance. They provided plenty of towels and cute little gift boxes of toiletries. Property management was very responsive and helpful. I would love to see the primary bath renovated--but either way I look forward to staying here again.

50th Birthday/New Empty Nesters Celebration

We absolutely LOVED our 2 week stay at Pura Vida! My husband and I both celebrated our 50th bday while there and our recent empty nest status. We had 3 different couples visit us at various times and they all raved about what a great property this is. We’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic family vacay

It was very nice , cozy and nice neighborhood easy to get to everything Not far from the airport. It was a great place. The kids loved the pool. All in all we had a wonderful time The Hale Family

White sand get away

The house was exactly as the website showed. Lots of beach chairs, umbrellas and sand toys in the garage to use which was very helpful. Short distance to the beach access. We loved having the golf cart to tote everything to the beach access area and then able to park the cart close by. Also loved having the golf cart to peruse the area and pick things up at the local store. The only downside was not having the accurate code to get in the gated area. Our stay started on the 1st of the month but the code we received was for the previous month which was forwarded to us a few days prior to our stay. I contacted them right away about this. I got a timely response saying we would have an accurate code prior to our arrival. Unfortunately, I never received it despite me contacting the management company multiple times via email and text the day before and day of our arrival. My husband and daughter arrived by our check in time and tried the previous months code without success. I finally called the number provided by the management company and was able to speak to someone. However, this individual didn’t have the accurate code either. About an hour after our check in time, we finally got the accurate code. Other than the check in issue, we had a great stay and loved the house, community and would stay there again.

Family Fun Get Away

Perfect for our family - close to beach and local attractions. Plenty of room and great kitchen! Suggest adding small rugs at entrances to capture sand. Also suggest a binder with codes, list of amenities, how/where to use the bonus card and local attractions. Thanks for a great stay!

Ruth's Gwins Family Vacation

The house was in a gated community with a lot of property rentals. The pool was heated and a big hit with the kids. The Golf cart was very useful when we went to the beach. The Kitchen had the utensils you'd need in a kitchen to make various meals. Definitely recommend and will look this unit up whenever I'm traveling to the area.

Great experience

Great experience smooth check in and check out. We absolutely loved our stay here seems the owners go to great lengths to ensure who is staying has a great experience house very family friendly great neighborhood and very close to the beach. House was set up for families to engage.. we loved it!

Nice house!

The house was just as advertised! There were only a few issues. We did not have the gate code on arrival. We didn't have beach access but not a big deal because we had use of the golf cart. Lastly, the pool alarm in the house wasn't ever mentioned and was extremely annoying! Aside from those little things, the house was great and we definitely enjoyed our stay!

Spring break

Pretty great experience. The location and home itself were amazing.. The only thing I wish is that we had the option to gain access after it was cleaned and ready to go. We had friends across the street (different rental company) and we knew it was ready 2 hours before we were allowed access. After traveling so far it would have helped a lot!

Great location

Good experience. Some.negatives were not having a garage door opener, the bathtub drain being clogged with hair from a prior guest, and the pool heating cost being very expensive for 3 days and not communicated at time of paying for rental. Positives were great location, golf cart access, private beach gate access, loads of pool and beach toys accessible, tons of kitchen appliances to use, and house was nice and spacious. Also when calling about gate issues the calls were answered immediately and issue was resolved. Overall I would stay again.

Definitely a stay again kind of place!!

Property was clean and tidy! We had some hiccups with the washer/dryer but the rental company acted very fast and got a technician out to look at it. The pool wasn’t heated when we arrived, but again they acted fast to resolve the issue-they refunded us our entire pool heating fee when they couldn’t get a technician out in enough time for us to enjoy the heated pool for the length of our stay. Would definitely recommend staying here! Suggestions from tenant to renter: -have throw blankets available for tenants to use for evenings just watching TV or sitting out by the pool -have initial set up of items such as trash bags, towels, soaps available based on how many guests are staying at the property.

Terrible property and Terrible Property Management

This was the worst vacation and rental we have ever experienced. The beds were dirty upon arrival with dirt, human hair, and pet urine. The bed skirt was tucked up between the mattresses to conceal the urine. We reported the dirty bed to Property Management as soon as we discovered it and they were not honest about the situation, so we had to launder our own sheets before we got to go to bed the first night. This was a big problem because both the washer and dryer malfunction on all but 1 cycle. Clothes are locked in as it errors out and it takes hours to figure out which cycle actually works. All the adult beds have worn out sagging mattresses due to the negligent installation of the bed frames which lack correct supports. The poorly conditioned beds triggered sciatica in my back, so we had to leave 5 days early because none of the adult beds were in sleeping condition. The oven only works at 350 degrees or less because the up button does not work at all. The outside light was not working when we arrived and it had been reported in a previous review, so our vacation was interrupted while they finally addressed the issue that had been reported a month before our stay. The bedrooms and bathrooms lacks proper dressers/drawers for your things. Prepare to live out of your suitcase or hang your clothes. We contacted the property management company 3 times and they will not call us back regarding these issues. DO NOT book this property and avoid properties managed by My Vacation Haven.

Family Beach Vacation

The property was nice. Our family of eight, two teens and six adults gathered for a week of fun and beach. The first thing that we noticed was the lack of cleanliness. The floors were filthy, we swept the floors immediately and each day….I think they were cleaner when we left! Had to keep shoes on because the grittiness underfoot was disgusting. Also, the stove had grease all over the control panel, it was visible and I only needed a quick wipe down with the dishcloth to remove it! I also had to use Clorox wipes on the back door frame as there was chocolate or dried blood or something 🤮 smeared all over it. Outside there was a plate from the kitchen that someone had apparently fed a dog off of, it was dirty. We left it where we found it! Overall, I would say that the cleaning people are not doing a good job. The other thing is communication. Very few instructions. Golf cart was nice, but where can you park it to go to beach? We inquired about this, took 2 days for someone to get back to us, then she couldn’t give us an answer. This should have been clearly explained. Also, beach access codes are given with no direction as to how and where to use them. I would like to suggest that the owner make up a notebook with helpful information for the guests. This has always been in previous vrbo rental homes and we always found it useful. We did enjoy the pool and outside area, but overall the property wasn’t worth what we paid.
