"We had a wonderful stay. We were in the area for our daughter’s graduation from Penn State. We stayed in the RV which had all the comforts of home-cozy chairs, a roomy dining area, and comfortable beds. We had a problem with the lock when we first arrived and the owner immediately replied to our query and fixed the issue. We appreciated the very reasonable price-particularly during a time when hotels in State College were asking for hundreds of dollars to a thousand dollars a night. We would...

"We had such a great time at this cabin! The cabin was very clean and cozy and had everything we needed. The hosts were very responsive and left instructions that made it easy to use amenities and check out without issues. We were able to use ride share to get back and forth from downtown state college. The property and location were beautiful and peaceful. Definitely will stay again!"

"The cottage was spotless, in a perfect location, and check-in was super easy. Margaret was a fantastic host—her communication was fast and helpful every step of the way. The beds were very comfortable, and the cabin had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.We especially loved the screened-in porch, the fire pit, and listening to the stream and sounds of nature. It was peaceful, quiet, and exactly what we needed to unwind. We’re already looking forward to coming back! We rate it 10 out of 10!"

"We stayed in a cabin so my comments only apply to our experience there., The property is very pretty, there is a pond or two, a shuffleboard course, a mini golf course and a playground or two. There was a pool but it was closed when we were there (late Sept). The two small issues that I would bring up are 1) the showers seem to be either completely hot or cold but nothing in between and 2) mattresses in the cabins are a bit stiff. Not a problem for us but it may be for others. "

"We enjoyed 4 days in this little cabin in the woods and were very sad to leave it. Our host Heather anticipated anything that I could have wanted: a thoroughly equipped kitchen (even had a milkshake blender), a water cooler, games, dvds, flashlights, binoculars, marshmallow skewers...The firepit was fabulous, large, covered, and optional lighting. Then there was the screened in porch with the rocking chairs... oh, and then there was the swing!And the best thing, no signal! A weekend freed from...

"Everything you need for a fun stay less than 15miles from State College!We stayed for graduation weekend and loved the rustic decor of the Cabin, the scenic drive through the state park and the cozy quiet of the surrounding forrest. AT&T service was strong, definitely read the drive in and out recommendations of an SUV or a pick up truck. The owner was hospitable with providing snacks, waters and was very responsive and pleasant. We would stay at this property again. "

"If you have the opportunity to stay here, highly recommend it. The place is so cute and comfy. There’s a lot nearby within driving distance and if you want to take a drive to Penn all the better. We really loved this stay for our anniversary and happy with it."

"We spent two nights to enjoy a full day in the state forests. The cabin was very clean. It's exactly as pictured. A small space with a couple beds and a table. The showers are a 2-3 minute walk from the cabin, or a shorter drive. The check-in/check-out process was very easy."

The Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center

"This hotel used to be a 5 star hotel. The staff was not welcoming at all. They were all day in and out starring at their pc. Not a ‘hello’, ‘goodnight’, nothing, except for the night shift. The evening shift told me to in order to get ice cubes, I would have to go up on the 5th floor, to get my icebag. Then take another elevator to the 1st floor. Luckily the night security and night shift were customer service friendly enough to help. It is such a dissapointment from what it was. It was under renovation, and messes were left all over. Our first look had water seeping up from the floor ( we did get another one, not an upgrade, just another one) Our room was nice and new, but such a disappointment to what the hotel used to stand for. "
