"Great place! Right on the beach. Not crowded at all, and the water was great. Turtles came up every night! Kids had a great time swimming and fishing, and the house was clean and well kept. We brought and cooked most of our food there, and there were plenty of pots/pans to cook with. If you are planning on fishing on the beach, go to Black Dog a couple of miles down the road, they were fun to visit with and helped my son get everything he needed to catch plenty of fish! Overall great experience...

"We enjoyed staying in this large home that has been completely renovated and attractively furnished. It was very clean, well appointed, and conveniently located close to shopping, dining and golfing. Access to the beach was an easy drive across the intracoastal waterway and we never experienced annoying traffic delays when we went to the beach.We walked in the quiet neighborhood daily, the neighbors we met were friendly and we never had any worries about loose pets. "My 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren travelled to meet me for an annual family gathering (12 total). This house was perfect... right on the beach with a pool and tennis/pickleball court... with 5 bedrooms. It was meticulously clean and the common areas were very spacious. There is a huge yard space big enough for badminton or volleyball and lots of parking. It is very close to grocery store, banks, gas stations, small restaurants. "

"We needed a place to stay for a short 3 day work assignment. We decided to try VRBO as hotels/motels are a hassle. Melwood Cottage will absolutely not disappoint! Very tastefully decorated, very interesting books to read from local history to herbal gardening, surfing, etc. It is plenty roomy, very fresh and clean in a very quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is well appointed with utensils, cookware, all the basics plus extras. The main bed was comfortable and there is also a second bedroom...

"Beautiful, simple, and restful weekend. The simplicity and of getting groceries and not having to leave for the weekend was incredible. This place has everything you need for the beach. The pool was the perfect temperature. Our host Janice was super responsive and a great communicator. There are a couple of updates needing to be done in the condo but nothing that hindered our stay. "We really enjoyed our stay at the Black Pearl! The home was in a perfect location, although we didn’t make it to the beach, it was very close. The house minutes from anything that you might need including lots of restaurants, Walmart and Publix. We will definalty book this house in the future. "

Right off the causeway made travel to places very easy. Host was very accommodating and answered all our questions very quickly. Would stay there again."
