"My husband and I had a perfect Valentine’s getaway here! The host was so friendly and incredibly quick with informative replies. The location is unbeatable—just one street from the snowmobile trails and close to gas and town. We had zero issues parking our truck and 28ft trailer, which was a huge plus.The house was so cozy; after long chilly days on the snowmobile trails, the extra blankets and the surprise boot/glove dryers were total lifesavers! "There aren’t many options to stay in the UP. This was a little out of the way but the property was well designed and had some nice amenities. That being said, we would not choose to stay here again because of the strong smell of sewer gas. "Grand Marais is a quaint town, very friendly people. Many outdoor activities, sites to see. We especially enjoyed the view of the dunes from the Log Slide in the Pictured Rocks National Park. Carter's Cottage was very welcoming, clean and conveniently located!! We'd stay here again."
