"It was lovely to get a tour from the host and learn about the history of the house as well as the design elements. I’m amazed at the generations that have cared for and improved the space.The space was cozy and made us feel relaxed. Everything was tidy and clean! The fun puzzles about the house were an added bonus and a good way to pass the time! "

"This place is rustic, but has potential. No communication from host as to how to get in. I tried emailing the host via VRBO, calling, and texting. After texting I got the code to get in and the wifi. You have to have your own water to drink and cook with. It is well water without a filter for getting useable water. The well water has a potent smell and taste of iron. There aren't any curtains in the back of the house and the roll up curtains in one of the bedrooms aren't great. The furniture is...

"Great place to stay! I could tell there was a lot of thought put in to making this place accommodating with clear labels describing where to find things. The camper was plenty room for the two of us and our dog, but we’d definitely have enough space to bring the kids next time. We enjoyed the short walk to the river, the plants and solar lights around the main sitting area, and the ease of finding firewood to burn. This place was really quiet and it was much appreciated for sleeping! "
