"Check in was quick and painless. The property was beautiful. If traveling with children.. they have games available. Limited/No plastic plates and cups so bring your own. The house was so clean and cozy and quiet. There is a basketball goal but the ball was flat (no biggie). It was close to all the things but far enough to feel country and secluded. "We stayed at the Bird House for my daughter graduation weekend from Texas State University. Great location - peaceful vibe in the pecan trees, yet just 12 minutes from TXST campus. House is cute and has everything we needed (except dishwasher!!). We enjoyed swinging in the porch hammocks, walking the property, and lounging indoors. Definitely a great getaway! "

"I had a very unpleasant stay due to the following issues: 1. The air conditioner was extremely noisy. Every time it started running, it made loud noises until it stopped. After a few minutes, it would start again and repeat the same cycle. The constant loud noise woke me up repeatedly throughout the night, making it impossible to get a good night’s sleep. 2. "The home is very well appointed. Lots of supplies in the kitchen, coffee, creamer, PB&J in the cupboards. Pool is great. Rooms are spacious and nicely organized. Bathrooms are super clean and tidy. We (2 persons)only stayed one night but you could easily enjoy this property for several get-away days with either a family or a few couples. Went to Salt Lick BBQ for dinner or there is a roadhouse/bar just down the road"
