"We had a lovely stay here during our 3-week honeymoon in Japan. It is a glamping experience…. no tents though.
Your room is in pre-fabricated units. It features big glass windows that open up wide to enjoy your outdoor surroundings, but also close up with complete privacy. Each unit has an excellent shower, with toilet and wash area. There is also climate control for each unit. There is no TV, but who needs it?!

"I have never stayed in a hostel before, so I was filled with trepidation about what the atmosphere would be like.
I need not have worried, Mulan Hostel was perfect, spotlessly clean, modern throughout. A quiet and peaceful sanctuary. Mulan Hostel has set the bar very high, fantastic!! Thank you."

"Mulan Hostel was wonderful. I came a little close to 9pm but they greeted me with such warmth and care. The dorm bed was comfortable and very nice. I loved the amenities and hot shower.
The area is perfect for seeing sights and also the bus stops right in front of the Hostel. The train was a 20min walk which is lovely in the Spring.
I would love to stay more nights in the future ."

"Kenji was a very nice host and his "guest house English" speaking was wonderful!! It is a perfect location if you are looking to wake up early and walk to the bamboo forest, you can be one of the first people there. Kenji also gave us recommendations of places to visit in the area that you otherwise may not have known about. "

When at the front desk there was yummy mochi for guests to try! Oishii! So good! There is a dining area on the left you can sit and drink ice water and hot tea if you are staying at the hotel. "The room was within walking distance from the bamboo forest and local restaurants. It was hard to find dining at night because some restaurants close early and you have to cross bridge to search for other restaurants. Too many gnats flying around. Gnats were also in the rooms. The staff were really nice and very helpful and patient."

"Wonderful place to stay, we loved that the area was in a real neighborhood and not touristy. The only complaint is the main bedroom faces a an alley that has a motion activated light that shines bright on and off all night while you are trying to sleep. Dark shade would help this situation. "

"Everything about this property looks brand new, from the room, kitchen appliances, bowls, cups, utencils, everything! There's a Lawson's, Family Mart, 7-11, and even a supermarket nearby. Close to the train station. I highly recommend this place. Our favorite place to stay so far in our 2 week Japan trip."

The gym was ok but you had to pay for the fitness facility every each day you used it. Furthermore, it opened up late in the morning (7am) which is very annoying when you want to start the day early. "
