"Newly tastfully decorated, staff friendly and attentive. Standard of food was on a par with pub grub, so not for foodies, also the dining room windows needed a wipe down due to dead insects. Wardrobe in room almost useless for hanging clothes full of other items . Better provision for hanging your cloths is needed, the wardrobe was small and was used to store a fridge, safe, hairdryer and ironing board. In short a potentially very nice hotel let down by attention to details."

"The house and its location are lovely; the staff welcoming and thoughtful. We could not have imagined a better place to celebrate our forty years together. Our elderly dog was given as warm a welcome and standard of care as were we. The cuisine is top notch - compliments to the chef - and the serving staff’s level of attentiveness well-judged. "My best friend and I got to experience what relatively few Americans will ever experience - sleeping in a real castle! What an experience! The grounds were beautiful, overlooking a flowing river and a gorgeous wooded area. The walk to the quaint town of Peebles was fabulous. "We can’t say enough about this incredibly special place. We found the history of the tower and the surrounding area so intriguing. The recommended walk along the Tweed River and the nearby arboretum were beautiful. Make sure to stay at least a couple nights."

"They property was very clean and very well equipped . it is It is on the small side but has everything needed for short stay. The shower is lovely and everywhere was very clean.
