The pool was not open (we didn't know it was seasonal/not heated), half of the hot tub was not filled - it's a duel hot tub, and the jets didn't work. This is basically a motel (we thought it would be more of a condo) in need of some TLC around the grounds. "We had a fabulous stay at this property! Our room was clean, spacious and worked well for 5 adults (could accommodate more).The host provided a lot of helpful details prior to our visit. The kitchen was well stocked & you can walk accross the street to Target for groceries. You absolutely can not beat this location for gondola access. We rented skis on-site and a short walk up a set of stairs and you are at the gondola. Lots of shops and restaurants very close by. The heated pool and 2 hot tubs...

"The property is still under construction. There was some confusion with the front desk staff with instructions on how to get to the room when the elevators were under construction. You would think the front desk staff would be able to give clear instructions based on the construction situation. Many of the amenities at the hotel are not available, however they still charge the full resort fee."

"On the day of check-in they could not find my reservation and the person took my ID to her manager without providing me details. I was waiting for 15 mins without any information. After coming back, she explained that they were not able to find my reservation. It was annoying. The room service is at the minimal even though this is a 4* hotel. "We stayed in the studio room. Good enough space for 2 adults and 2 children. With the couch extended as a bed, though, it gets a little crammed with the table. The bathroom had a lot space. Enough to place our sleds in the corner with plenty of space still. It was a good addition to add hooks by the door for all our winter clothes too. The best part of Marriott’s Timber Lodge Tahoe would have to be the location! Right outside is the Gondola, restaurants, rentals, and shops. Everything walking...

"The Timber Lodge was fantastic in every way. It was our first time staying there and we look forward to future visits. The pool and hot tubs were perfect after a long day on the slops. The location and ski valet was super convenient. Rooms were modern and comfortable."
