"Could not have picked a better location for our honeymoon. The host was so very sweet! The place was well stocked and clean! Perfect size for our needs and the view was phenomenal! If I could give 10 stars I would!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! "

"The hot tub could have used a little cleaning and cleaner water, however, that was the only negative aspect of the entire property. Everything Else was exceptionally clean and the house is fully stocked with anything you would possibly want. We were down there on a golf outing, and the house was conveniently located in the middle of a half a dozen Golf courses. We will be back!"

"Beautifully decorated little cabin close to Giant City and Blue Sky Vineyard. The hosts had a nice coffee and tea selection. We were a little disappointed that the patio outside the cabin was so small but there was a nicer large area on the other side of the cabin if you wanted to make a fire. One downside is the cabin is in front of a 3 way intersection and there was a lot of local traffic with very noisy trucks going by. "My husband and I needed to disconnect from our busy lives. Coming down to the Shawnee area turned out to be the best choice, and this cabin played a large part in that! On the exterior, the cabin is well-seasoned now, showing a history of nature rightfully integrating into the wood. The interior is as cozy as it looks! "We were in town for kiddos graduation at SIU and this property is way better than a hotel. Just 25 minutes or so away from campus and a hop skip and a jump from Blue Sky winery, this hidden gem awaits you. Perfect cabin for a quiet getaway. There were a couple of dips in driveway due to erosion that made it difficult for our low clearance car to get through but we managed and owner was very helpful.
