"Service of all staffs are very good. Hotel. It new but very well kept. Its very clean. I like their lemonade welcome drink. Probably need to improve on breakfast set to be bigger portion and free flow of coffee. The bathroom may be inconvenient for elderly because u need to leap up to the bath up for shower. Surroundings are conveniences with lots of shops and food"

"i dont know what to say..because for me this hotel is ok n im just in the wrong time and situation..Im stuck in miri because of the covid19 n lockdown issue..my flight back to kl cancel and i was asked to quarantine myself in the place where I was staying ... at the start of my stay at the meritz hotel for 1 weeks but I had to move out and look for another hotel because they had closed their hotel due to covid19 issue and I had to find a hotel that was still operating and at that time only...

There is sadly no beach in front of the hotel, but you can walk to a "worn out" beachfront in 10 minutes, trashed by flooding, where swimming is not allowed due to currents! Take a daytrip south to get to nicer beaches."
