"My husband and I (and our pets) really enjoyed our stay for numerous reasons: The kitchen was well equipped / There were plenty of towels / Nice glimpse of the river from sink, bedroom and front porch / Discount on a kayak trip (Loved floating to Lake Superior!) / Bed didn't hurt our backs / Close to a few great restaurants and convenience stores / Clean / RELAXING. Thank you so much for a great stay!"

"We had a great time at The Pines. The hosts were very responsive to questions, the house has everything you could possibly need (including some nice homey touches) and the beds are comfy! We were there in the buggy season so did not use the outdoor spaces. We were very thankful for that big sunroom/porch to enjoy coffee and happy hour before and after our outings. Overall a great stay!"

"Lovely location in the heart of the forest. The cabin was equipped with everything you might need. Very nice variety of children's books/movies/games/outdoor toys, well beyond what we imagined. The children absolutely loved the place and the long swings outside. The cabin was clean, pleasant, and cozy. We had a great time and would love to be back."

"We loved our stay in Christmas (6 mins away from the center of Munising). Although the weather didn’t cooperate for all the activities we had planned we loved the property. The walk out to the beach was beautiful and the fall colors were popping."

"This was exactly the stay that we needed. It allowed us to get away from all the hustle and bustle of daily life. The water was beautiful and the drive attractions was a short distance given the remoteness of the cottage. I wish the dock would have been up but regardless it was a great experience and would highly recommend."

"Walking into this cottage was like I had been there before. The pictures are so accurate. Everything was just great. We had a fabulous time even though I didn’t get a chance to use the kayak. We did check out the historic Fayette Village state park. Also went to see the Big Spring Indian Lake. We would love to come back here again, in fact, I could just move in. The only thing was the pots and pans were not the best. Thanks for everything. Great place!"

"Good location near Munising and several attractions. The property was clean and had plenty of bedding and towels. We used both the grill and fireplace, which was great! The only downsides were that the beds were very squeaky, so not good for light sleepers, and the beach isn’t really one you would swim in due to the algae and muck - still enjoyed sitting lakeside tho! We also had our dog, and it was great to find a place that was pet friendly."

"This property is secluded in the woods but a short quick drive to Munising. This was within an hour or 2 of all the places we wanted to visit like Mackinac Island, Paradise, Whitefish Point & more. The neighbors & dog were really nice and came over to warn us that a mama bear & cub were spotted across the street from us and to be aware and not to leave food in car or outside. "We had a great time! The cabin was decorated above and beyond, perfect for snowy days. Easy check in and the cabin was the cleanest rental I have ever stayed in. Everything was provided in the cabin, no details missed. Bring your clothes and meals and you’ll have it made. There are neighbors close to the cabin, but no one was around. Very quite and peaceful.
