Starboard Light is a charming traditional cottage on Captain’s Row — one of the loveliest and most historic streets in Lymington. With beautiful views over the river and just steps from the excellent Kings Head pub (famed for its great food), it offers an unbeatable location. The cobbled lanes with boutique shops and independent restaurants lead you down to the town quay, all right on your doorstep.

The cottage comfortably accommodates two guests, which we feel is ideal. However, Additional sleeping arrangement: Guests three and four sleep in an attractive open mezzanine above the main bedroom. It is accessed by a removable ladder with broad, level treads and is protected by a balustrade. The mezzanine is not suitable for young children, guests with limited mobility, or anyone uncomfortable climbing a ladder. It is open to the bedroom below and is not a separate private bedroom

This is a traditional fisherman’s cottage, lovingly and tastefully refurbished. It’s a real gem — cosy, characterful, and right in the heart of Lymington’s old town and quay area.

Starboard Light is perfect for couples looking for a peaceful bolt-hole from which to explore Lymington and the New Forest, or a cosy fit just about for 4 but downstairs space may be a bit snug. Properties with river views are extremely rare in the town, and you can watch the boats coming and going right from the bedroom window.

The cottage is clean, private, and pet-friendly, but please be aware there is no outdoor space, so guests will need to take their dogs out for walks. With it being a 5 minute walk to Lymington Railway Station, it's a great choice for those without a car.
