"We had a most splendid time at Djorff Palace. From the minute we arrived with the hotel’s river boat, we felt transported back in time. To a time where the dull uniformity of big corporate hotels did not exist. The architecture of the hotel is most elegant and the rooms are authentic and warm with their squeaky wooden floor, domed ceilings and the intricate wooden carvings on the balcony door and the windows. The whole place gives out a most enjoyable homely and calm atmosphere. The staff was so friendly and attentive. Especially Ali at the pool and one of the waiters at the dinner restaurant whose name - regrettably - escapes me at the moment. We also had a most handsome welcome by the owner, Marina. We arrived super early in the morning - way before check-in - but Marina took the time to have coffee with us and chat in the lobby. We enjoyed her company very much - especially her gift of storytelling! Even though she thought we were crazy for renting bikes to go sightseeing! She also upgraded our room free of charge just because a better room was available which I think says it all. That Djorff Palace is not about making the most profits but about caring for the guests. My partner and I are planning to open a BnB in Spain - if we ever manage to save up enough money - and we were definitely inspired when staying at Djorff Palace. If we can only create some of the same charm and homeliness that Djorff Palace has in our BnB we would have succeeded. Thank you so much!"

"From check-in to check-out it was a pure luxury and a beautiful stay. High-high quality all around you. More theme restaurants on the premise, the most beautiful location right down to the Nile river, large well-frequented pool area, beach bar and own shopping alley with all you need to bring home from Egypt, very pleasant staff and shop owners - no rush or pressure anywhere. High level of security. We had a room with direct view to the Nile and a huge balcony. Don’t miss this experience and pay a little extrs for your stay - you will not regret it. Last, but not least, was the breakfast buffet. This must be the highest quality I have ever experienced - huge selection of well prepared and well presented foods. Enjoy"

"Super lækkert hotel. Ligger lige ved siden af Luxor-tempel. Vi var der kun 1 nat, men det er den bedste søvn, jeg fik på hele turen til Egypten. Da vi ankom, spurgte vi efter en chauffør, som kunne tage os rundt til de top 5 seværdigheder i Luxor. Efter 30 min dukkede der en mand op, som var sammen med os resten af dagen. Morgenmaden var glimrende. Vi boede på 5. etage, så larm fra gaden var overhovedet ikke slemt."

"Let me start by saying that the garden and pool area straight on the Nile is really stunning and amazing to hang out in. The staff was always super nice and the breakfast has a great selection. Very fresh. But - the rooms on the street side are VERY noisy, hence I changed my room the atrium side after the first night. In the new room, the air condition did not work and I had to sleep with a wet towel over me for two nights to keep cool. Despite mentioning this, they did not fix the issue. Not great. Furthermore, the rooms are very worn down and need an update."
