Lovely gem in an unexpected hipsterpocket in Peckham with a villagefeeling, where Victoria Inn seemed to be a true "public house" - no (other) tourists, but mostly filled with families and friends gathering for christmas, great food and beer. The staff was very helpful and everything was spotless clean. A really cosy pub which has been beautifully renovated, same for the rooms. Ours was a superior double, but it was difficult to tell what made it different from a normal double - that is was on the top floor? Had a tub? Was a tiny bit bigger? It was not big, but extremely comfortable. We had the windows open to the quiet street. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The only thing we missed, was a toilet brush - winder if it is an absurd manifestation of a class divided society that the british hotels often do not have toilet brushes? We might bring our own next time! But we will definitely be back!
