"We had a great time in the Grand Marais and Upper Peninsula area. Given our hosts location we were able to cover a lot of territory, from Tequamenon Falls to Munising, with golf at the Newberry Country Club (very nice course). Our only problem was backing out of the host parking area, which emptied into the street quickly and almost blindly. But the residence was very comfortable and clean. "

"Beautiful property for our hikes around pictured rocks. Molly was so helpful and the property was perfect. Downtown grand Marais was very pretty with 2 great places to have a beverage and eat right on Lake Superior. Coukd not have asked for more. Definitely plan to return!!"

"This is our second time staying in "Big Red". We felt so much at home the second we opened the door. My 89 yr old mother absolutely loves the house. She has the biggest bedroom and a bathroom that is handicapped accessible. She was in awe, again. The whole house has such a great atmosphere, we can't wait to book it for next year!! We love this place. Thank you for the greatest house...."

"Its a beautiful piece of land, in the evening deer would come and eat apples from the orchard. The building itself consists of an old little wood cabin (now master bedroom & bathroom) around which the rest of the rooms is build around. "We had a very pleasant 2 night stay while exploring nearby Pictured Rocks with our grandkids. Recent upgrades are great - everything working well and very nice & clean & quiet. Stairs to loft are a bit steep. We would stay again. - it was a "happy place" for us too!"

"My family stays in the U.P. every summer. We love rock hounding and the peace and quiet in the U.P. This was the first time that we had stayed in Grand marais. The house was very clean and quiet. I would definitely recommend this home to everyone. Convenient walk to downtown to great restaurants, awesome ice cream stand, and cute little grocery store. "We had a great stay at the Hill House in Grand Marais! We spent most of our time outdoors exploring, but the house fit our needs perfectly when we were done for the day. The deck with the lake view was great for coffee in the morning or relaxing at night. The yard was also very large, which was nice for playing bean bags or fetch with the dog. "
