"It is a dog and child friendly pub with a large garden area with a childrens bouncy castle, so if you like dogs and children this is the place for you. The Menu was a little restricted to typical pub grub. Prices for wine and beer were on the high side.
If you want to eat a meal without being disturbed by hoard of children going to the toilet then avoid the garden room dining area."

"Very well organised from arrival to departure. The room and its fittings were as good as any HPB places we've stayed at. Very pleasant surroundings and a good choice for breakfast.Can recommend."

"We arrived at the property to find that we had been double booked and no room was available as the property was now full. We had to find alternative accommodation in the area and we luckily found one property that had one room left.
Grassington lodge offered no help in finding alternative accommodation due to their error. Extremely disappointed with how it was all handled and how we was treated and we would never use or recommend this property in the future."

"Nice location and staff. Food was on schedule and good. Comfortable bed and rooms. Parking was limited, but that’s an issue all over UK. We would stay there again."

"Liz and Glenn operate an amazing property, they are extremely helpful and accommodating hosts, their breakfasts are outstanding, our room was very clean and comfortable. Herriots is superbly located in the town of Hawes, which itself has plenty of food and beverage outlets as well as being well positioned to access all that the Dales has to offer."

"This is a very charming place situated right in the center of “Darrowby”. The inn has a beautiful garden and the breakfast is tasty and well done. The innkeeper Lynn was the best example of hospitality we have ever had, coming to the rescue when our rental car had a flat tire in a remote area. She really embodies the reputation of how lovely the people are in the Yorkshire Dales, and took extra care to make sure our car troubles didn’t ruin the vacation."
