"We really enjoyed our stay in the Shepherds Hut and the views were amazing. The only disappointment was that there was no welcome pack providing instruction on how things worked. There was also no telephone contact details in case of any issues,etc. When we arrived there was not hot water and it was only by trial and error that we managed to find out that the gas bottle was empty, luckily the other bottle was full and I was aware how to manually change them over. "Rental too far from center of town. Need a vehicle to get to town, or a very long walk.The frig leaked water on the kitchen floor. The fire/smoke alarms went off a couple of times during stay, but the last evening they went off three times, the last time at 12:45 A. M. Very annoying."

"Wonderful place to stay. Very close to the old course. We had lunch at the Tom Morris Bar and Grill, which I recommend booking well in advance. We also played 18 holes of putting on the Himalayan greens. Charlie was great at communicating with us and was there to meet us at checkin and help with parking.Even a nice, secluded outdoor patio.If you're staying in St Andrew and need space for a large group, this is a great place. Very clean and very comfortable beds. 5 stars"

"Apartment was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It had everything we needed. It was actually better than the pictures. Beds were comfy! We absolutely enjoyed our stay! Walking to the train was easy, about 10 minutes. Walking to the store, restaurants, and beach were easy and not far at all. Adorable neighborhood with friendly locals. "Took a risk after reading the reviews, and Im glad I did, it was clean tidy, bedding was fresh, fresh towels, everything we needed to stay for a few days, washing up liquid, tea coffee sugar, toilet rolls, they even left us some pop and chocolate bars for our arrival, honestly can't complain at all, we were up for a funeral and having all the little bits and bobs made it less stressful so thank you, hopefully we will be back soon in better circumstances, thank you for making our stay stress free...

"The toilet was so high up i couldn't do a sh*t. I'm six foot tall, but when I was sat on the toilet my feet were not touching the ground. Overall, the place was pretty bleak, e.g. no mirror in the bedroom to check my outfit, only one pillow so I got neck ache in bed, no towel rail or hooks anywhere in the bathroom so couldn't hang up a towel, no hook in the bedroom to hang up a coat, no toilet roll holder. "Pros-comfortable bed, private garden area, nicely updated kitchen and bathroom and central location Cons-uncomfortable couch, wobbly table and only 2 towels provided for 8 nights. Had to buy an entire box of laundry soap as host didn't provide any (left for next traveler). This has been provided at every previous vrbo in north america and Scotland"
