"Wonderful stay in Varzo! Lovely mother and daughter hosts. Delicious homemade breakfast and very comfortable room with a nice view. Right down the hill from San Domenico ski area with excellent scenic hiking. Would recommend Chalet Il Picchio to all!"

"This is my second visit all the staff can't do enough for you i had to ring and inform them I was going to be late checking in as I had problems they told me that was OK they even kept the restaurant open"

"Great location close to station. Lovely free breakfast. Rooms basic but clean and comfortable"

"Perfectly situated for train travels and Glacier Express and also close to city centre and restaurants. Charming town. Fine service at hotel"

"Excellent hotel. We would like to stay more days here."

"Alt var perfekt"

"Easy walk from the mainline station. Comfortable room with good sized bathroom. As the weather was quite hot and the room warm owing to a lack of air con, it wasn’t that easy to sleep. But seating area and 2 TVs were a pleasant addition. Well placed to walk into main square where there ate lots of cafes and restaurants."
