The first night was perfect and the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. In the second night, we arrived back from a full day at White Sands, with dirt and sand all over our bodies, we learned that there was no more hot water, so only freezing cold water to shower. The people on the room next door started making a lot of noise and unfortunately the walls are paper thin. We did not complain and tried to sleep only to be awoken several hours later by the receptionist calling asking us if we had complained about noise. Ugh. The hot water did not work the next morning either. We asked for a discount on the 2nd night.

Hotel Encanto is a beautiful historic hotel. But I am finding many of these hotels need some renovating. I love the location of the hotel, large parking lot, that is free and has very good lighting.

Beautiful property. Restaurant was delicious with excellent service. The guests 1 floor below us on a patio were very loud and obnoxious all weekend, 6am, 10am, 5pm, 10pm, every day for 3 days. Screaming and loud partying. We asked them nicely to wait til 8am or before 10pm to be loud. Did not work.

This property does not deserve to be a heritage hotel. Not clean, carpets worn and snagged, cigarette butts on patios, outdoor chandeliers battered and worn. Needs a major overhaul and new layout. Parking lot too far from the entrances. The pool area which is arguably the best part is difficult to get to. We got there at 4p checkin time and the bar doesn’t open until 5p? Poor planning all the way around

I was a little fooled by pictures I had seen of the lobby and pool are which are very nice. The rest of the hotel is just a large and nice enough hotel. I did think the staff were especially helpful when I had a question. The fitness area was nice and the hotel is centrally located.

We had NO housekeeping service the entire 3-day stay. No clean towels, no bathroom cleaning, no trash taken out, nothing.

The hotel itself was beautiful. The rooms were dated, and small. One of the beds has to be pushed up against the wall to fit in the room. No mini-frig or microwave in the room. The hot water is an issue. We stayed 4 nights and 2 of those night there was little to no hot water. Great place to have an event. The hotel is beautiful, but think budget hotel if you are considering staying overnight in one of their rooms. Hotel food was average.

Das Hotel wird vom Personal gut gereinigt aber der Rest ist stark Renovierungsbedürftig. Sehr flache Decken und stark abgewohnte Zimmer mit einem unglaublich schlechten Internetzugang. Zum Nationalpark “White Sands“ sollte man auf jeden Fall 1 Stunde einplanen.

Hotel is beautiful, inside and out. Has an outdoor pool that looked amazing from our room, (but we were too cold and tired to go for a swim). There’s a cozy restaurant/bar in the hotel, with a small but excellent menu (is also open to non-hotel guests). My only negative comment is that when we checked in (around 7:45pm) we asked if we needed reservations for dinner; we were told no reservations needed. When we’d settled in and went to the restaurant, we noticed that all the cozy lounge-tables had “reserved” signs on them, and only the small center tables were open. When we asked, the waiter said that reservations were not needed because the small center tables were available. This was annoying, because the “reserved” tables had more space and more comfy seating. So, we settled into the lounge chairs along the side of the bar, and had our dinner brought on small plates that we perched on our “drinks” table and surrounding flat services. Note: the bar was only about half full, so not exactly a busy night. We remained puzzled by the “no reservations needed yet other people reserved the better tables” policy. At least the food was good.

The hotel was really pretty and and cleaning it we weren’t entirely happy with our room. There was no mini fridge and the outlets next to our bed sides. Other than that the staff and hotel were really lovely and kind. It just bummed me out I couldn’t cool water and my left overs for my morning hike

If you're going to book here you need to come early because a lot of things close in the evening and that just leaves your room instead of all the amenities on the first and second floor which is the ground floor
