"Meget hyggeligt B & B med individuelt indrettede, meget indbydende og rene værelser. God, nærmest hjemlig atmosfære og meget venlig betjening. Udmærket beliggenhed i gåafstand til centrum af Ambleside, som er en dejlig lille by velforsynet med restauranter, caffeer, pubber og butikker. Til den anden side er der ligeledes kort afstand til Lake Windermere. Vi ville bestemt vælge stedet igen."

"Booked just one night as a last minute getaway. Stayed in the Penthouse which has a large blacony with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom great. The beams are low at the edges of the room but we are both tall and managed to avoid them :) I would highly recommend this place and will be staying here again in the future."

"Lovely guest house located more or less centrally between the town centre and lake Windemere with just a few minutes walk to either. The standard of accommodation was first class and the service equally as good. We were in a standard double room on the second floor with Velux windows allowing great views to the front. The road at the front of the guest house is busy and noisy at times particularly with the windows open. "

"had a lovely stay at the Waterwheel with my husband - an excellent guest-house right in the centre of Ambleside, but still quiet and peaceful. Our room was clean and comfortable with some nice touches such as homemade flapjacks and a glass of port. the service was fantastic and were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. a parking permit for the local car park was also a great bonus. we will definitely stay again next time we are in the Lakes"

"We had a fantastic stay in Ambleside, largely due to the location of this property. A 5 minute walk from the centre of town and lots of restaurants and pubs but far enough away from the centre to be private. Amazing views. A little difficult to find in the first place but once we located it, all was good! Thank you!"

"A group of walking friends who really enjoyed a fabulous stay at this clean, comfortable, warm and very well equipped apartment. Lovely peaceful location with great views from the lounge and bedroom/balcony. Struggled a little to find the road up to it on first arrival, was fine thereafter. Made use of the pool/jacuzzi & sauna facilities too, which although small, certainly helped ease the muscles after a days walking. Recommend a stay here. "
