"Clean room and friendly staff"

"Upon arrival asked about parking for the car... was asked why I didn't call and reserve a spot .. I did call was told I couldn't reserve a spot.. asked about golf cart rental same thing. . First impression... get up to room... floor not clean.. sink not clean, ironing board broken, refrigerator was frozen, not working, safe was not working... took all day to get resolved... safe took two days. Then only worked for one day... I gave up on safe... breakfast only served during week.. when...

"More toilet paper in the room would be helpful. Soap next to the bathroom sink would also be nice. My wife reported wet sheets in her bed, so she moved into my bed (I'm not complaining). At 8:15 am, the fire alarm in our room went off. We were sleeping. It is an understatement to say that this was startling. The good news is there was no fire. I look at a trip to South Bass Island as an adventure, so all of this was part of the adventure."

"I have stayed at a dozen properties around Put In Bay and I can say without a doubt, the Anchor Inn is the best place I have found. Close to downtown, reasonably priced for the quality and service, cleanliness of the room and property, quality of the breakfast and food offerings, thoughtful touches throughout the room and lobby.
