"This was a super cute house that was perfect for our family's short visit. It was clean, and the pictures of the property were very accurate - definitely a cottage! Location was walkable to shops and the ferry. There was a thoughtful welcome note and amenity, which was a nice touch! There was a lot of construction on the island, so it was noisy... not the owner's fault. Bring a sound machine, because it's a busy island!"

"A gem of a home. The location can’t be beat and I really appreciated that this cottage is clean and bright. It is pretty bare bones as far as extras ( no ice maker or trays to make ice, no wine opener (although I added one), I did not find an iron or extra pillows so I bought a couple and added to the house). "The villa has a lot of atmosphere. It is an old house, which gives it a lot of character, some things may call for a bit of upkeep at first sight, but you forget once you settle down in the wonderful house and garden. The house is in a small, very close community, and even though there are many neighbors, it is extremely quiet and very safe and welcoming. People constantly walking their dogs - which we like, we love dogs. Laguna and Dana Point just around the corner. Great shopping in the area....

"Great bungalow for a couple, we also had our adult son. He slept comfortably in the pull out. We stayed in “green”. Nice to have secluded back patio for evening cocktails, cards etc. The front area garden was delightful for morning coffee amidst butterflies. The location was ideal with a short walk to everything. This will be our “go to” when we come back to Laguna."

"This home was very beautiful and met the needs of our family who flew into the area for a family memorial service, Frustrations with no remote for main tv, continual problem with lock on master bedroom, old dog poop in yard, very loud birthday party next door until 1 am Sat. night were some problems that detracted from our overall stay in this home. "The house was as described. It was great! Plenty of towels, utensils and pots/pans. The provided soap/shampoo was helpful as well! There were many fans which were needed because a lot of the windows do not open. That would be our only complaint. Roughly half the windows don't open and the majority of the others need an additional piece of something to hold them open. One window in the casita was broken from the start. "We arrived with instructions to retrieve the front door key from a lock box. We opened the lock box only to find it was empty. We called our host numerous times, emailed and texted. We never got a response. We tried to contact hotels.com with no success. We finally were able to speak to someone at The Evolve Team, which is the company that manages this vacation rental. After numerous calls back and forth they agreed to cancel our booking and begin the process for refunding our money in full. I...
