"The check-in was uncomfortable. The lady behind the counter basically seemed like she was having a bad day. I am Danish and forgot my passport, but I had a picture of it on my phone and my American friend offered HIS identification. She did not want that. She made it seem impossible for us to check in. Like we woud have to leave - too bad!
Then she finally called her boss who obviously told her to let us check in!
Other than that, lovely place and lovely service. I wrote them in advance that...

"We stayed at the Laguna Surf Lodge for 3 nights in their peaceful 2 bedroom family suite.We had a very relaxing stay. The room was spacious enough for myself and 4 teen girls. The beds were so comfortable and pillows were like clouds! There was enough storage space for our group and the room had a small fridge and table with 3 chairs. Our room faced PCH, and although you could hear some street traffic the AC was enough “white” noise to block the street noise. They also have a white noise machine...

There is a coffee shop & a Ralph’s grocery store across the street. The parking is a little tight - especially if you have an oversized truck, but we made it work. The staff were all friendly & there is a bbq area in the courtyard, too. "

"A beautiful facility in a very nice location and onsite amenities, the room was spacious, clean and nicely fitted, I just wish room service was like done as promised, had to ask for a refresh after 3 days of no service at all, staff were super nice and supportive though, Parking is expensive and not included in the booking fee."
