Villa Arthur La Fortuna

Great property just 5 minutes drive from downtown La Fortuna and excellent location to visit all main attractions 5 to 20 minutes drive from the house. Modern house with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms with hot water, air conditioning throughout the house (Bedrooms, living room and kitchen areas), private pool, fully equipped kitchen, WiFi (100 megabytes), living room with smart TV and parking on site.

Air conditioning throughout the house (Bedrooms, living room and kitchen areas), you will be able to relax and cool off after your daily adventures or keep it cool if you want to hang out in the house.

Bedroom distribution:
Bedroom 1: King sized bed, A/C unit and private bathroom with hot water.
Bedroom 2. Queen bed and A/C unit - Access to full bathroom.
Bedroom 3. Queen bed and A/C unit - Access to full bathroom.

The kitchen is ready to be use and prepare delicious meals during your stay, in case you want we can get you a private chef during your stay (It has an extra cost); living room has a smart TV of 42 inches and an excellent WiFi service (100 megabytes).

There are surveillance cameras around the house, the one by the pool is not connected.

House is open style, you can close all areas only the pool and dinning areas are outside the house, is the rain forest so bugs will be around but not an issue.

Families will little kids always must be aware of them, the pool is open and the areas around the house are good to walk but with adult supervision.

We have an office in downtown La Fortuna, you can look us as The House of Tours where our guests for can come and we will provide a quick welcome information about the area, also we have excellent rates for all the tours in La Fortuna/Arenal Volcano area, we are open everyday from 8 AM to 7 PM.

The office is located by the central park, central location and good parking area. We will be please to meet you :)

Once you book our property we will send you a detailed information with everything you need to enjoy your vacations in La Fortuna: tours, rental car options, transportation and much more.

We will be available every day 8 AM to 6 PM for our guests in our office and we have a cellphone number that works 24/7 in case of any issues or any information you need.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, however the kitchen did lack some basics, we ended up eating out more than we thought we would. The couches were quite uncomfortable and the lighting was stark. The pool was great to have but not recommended for very young children as it did not have a shallow end.

Noise! The house next door is under construction. The hammering, saws, radios banging, and singing start around 5:30-6 a.m. and continue until about 4:30 p.m. The noise can be clearly heard inside all bedrooms and more so outside. If you are trying to sleep past 6 a.m. or are trying to enjoy a cup of coffee outside while enjoying the views, FORGET IT!! I would assume this will continue through May or June 2026, if not longer. The host did not tell us about this… The house overall is nice. It was very clean and had all the usual things, which was nice. The location is great as it’s close to town and close to the hot springs/arenal volcano. The other thing to point out is that the kitchen/living room are a separate building from all the bedrooms which have individual external doors that can only be locked from the inside or with the master key. When you go to leave, you have to use the master key, which turns off all air conditioners, causing warm rooms and the house during the summer months when you return.

We didn’t really use the pool. The house set up was great with the bedrooms having their owns separate access. The location was wonderful. If you rented a car there are many activities nearby. There is also a supermarket right down the road as well for supplies for the house. It was clean and we felt safe. Woke up to horses and cows graining in the field behind us. The view of the volcano was amazing.

The home is in a neighborhood where all others are fenced and gated, this home is not. There is a main house with kitchen/living room and then a covered patio that joins with another building for the bedrooms, all three bedrooms are accessed individually from outside. There are several keys to deal with and a card that has to be inserted into a card reader for the a/c units to work, this card is attached to all the keys, so when you leave, the a/c turns off. That may be why the rooms all have a musty mildew smell. They do have security cameras all over, including pool, patio area and one looks as if it would look into the kitchen. The gentleman who checked us in gave us a remote to set the alarm when we leave and there was a panic button. The host we communicated with said the cameras only records if there is an event, but the gentleman who checked us in said that they are always on and record audio, but are only checked if the alarm goes off.The lighting is all overhead with bright white lights, the one over the island goes on and off. There was really no comfortable place to relax.The washing machine is filled with a hose, you have to turn it to drain when finished washing, fill again to rinse, turn it to drain again and them transfer all clothes to a spinner. The dryer vents into the house.We booked for four nights, but checked out after the first night, the musty odor was overpowering and did not feel safe or comfortable there.

Such a GREAT place! We loved everything about it. The location was quiet yet close to everything. The view of the volcano is good and we loved the layout of the house. Super clean and comfortable. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Host was lovely. The home was clean. Room for improvement, yes, it was very basic Ammenities and low in the comfort. No nightshade tables in 2/3 bedrooms, no lights by the beds.no place to put your suitcase or luggage, just the floor, not sure why the shelving in bedroom was sloped, but clothes slipped off to the floor. The living area wasn’t very comfortable, lighting was extremely bright, attracting bugs…

Terrific home. Host was responsive and helpful. Home was lovely, clean and very conveniently located. Close to everything but far enough away to be peaceful. Only downside was construction on home next door. Obviously not the host’s fault. For the most part it was fine but one afternoon the workers music was very loud.

Perfect location! We loved staying at Villa Arthur. The house is very close to town, which makes it very convenient when going out to dinner. It is very close to many of the activities in La Fortuna. The house is only six minutes from the waterfall and short drive to other attractions. We were mostly on the go and not at the house very long, but did enjoy the outdoor area. Our last night we ordered takeout pizza so we could enjoy the outdoor area by the pool. There is a wonderful table for dining and gathering. We appreciated all the recommendations by the concierge service. The house was clean and had all that we needed.

Property was nice. Not private enough as there is a new building under construction next door and someone was there every day watching us come and go. The host was friendly, helpful, and on time. The view of the volcano was beautiful. The grounds were beautiful as well. Location is close to everything - breakfast, coffee, dinner, groceries - even tours along the same road.

The locks were hard to use. Lock up 4 different things every time I went in and out of the place. The alarm was annoyingly loud. The air conditioner was difficult to figure out and the master bedroom one didn't work as well as the other three. The beds were stiff but not uncomfortable. I didn't get a back ache, and I complain about beds very easily. Spiders everywhere, but I think that is a Costa Rica thing.

Pura vida in Villa Arthur

Absolutely Amazing!The house was perfect for our family with teens having beauty and privacy.Spectacular view to Arenal volcano. Close to great activities and restaurants.We loved the pool and enjoy a lot the open feeling of the house and being so secluded with wild life!The managing team was amazing they helped us with recommendations and to schedule tours before landing.The kitchen was amazing with everything you need and we enjoy having a washer and dryer since we went in raining season and we could dry all our gear for the next day!We will be back so amazing!

Spotless accommodations terrific location!

Stellar Location, seriously amazing to wake up to the sound of monkeys and literally at the base of the beautiful volcano Arenal!! I have a mold allergy and I was very pleased that this place was very clean and with lots of fresh air available. Highly recommend.

Unique home in a great location

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Arthur. The view of the volcano and the garden was fabulous. We enjoyed the pool and the outdoor table.it was great having a kitchen and washer/dryer. Only reason for 4 vs 5 star is the pool was super cold. Nice on a hot day but would have been nicer if it was heated just a little more.

Awesome Views and Peaceful La Fortuna

It was a great property with a nice pool and amazing views. The location was very peaceful and easy to get to everything in La Fortuna quickly. The road up to the house (about 300m) is pretty rough.
