"Even though perfect for doorstep skiing, Planibel remains a place I will only recommend to families that are 100% into skiing. My wife who also appreciates a day off the slopes, was not really tempted to, due to the rather soulless sourroundings inside the Planibel. The hotel itself might be nice, but the apartment complex was, at its best, uninteresting. The swimming pools were ok, but dressing rooms were worn out and the price of using the pool, did not match the quality. La thuile itself is...

Bout St. Maurice is a ski town in the winter and a hiking/ biking town in the summer.My wife says this is one of the best areas we have ever seen and thinks the motel is the best as well.
