Having direct and easy access to the Carribean Sea made snorkeling and scuba from the property a daily and sometimes multiple daily occurrence. Besides seeing a couple of rays, turtles, octopus and huge variety of fish, we encountered a "bait ball". This massive ball of tightly swimming fish was a once in a lifetime event for us. The only negative was mother nature took the ladder entry away shortly before our arrival and was replaced with a temporary ladder which was okay for us as we did not have small children. "The hotel is located on the water, which allows for swimming, snorkeling, and diving right from the pier. The pier is also shaded, which makes lounging a relaxing experience. There is a dive shop across the street for all water activities, and dive tanks are kept onsite. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, which made my stay very enjoyable."
