Beautiful, newly remodeled 4 bedroom, 4 1/2 bath beach home located in the Chicahauk area. The property is a 5-7 minute walk or a 1 minute drive to the beach. Easy permit pass parking at beach access with lifeguard on duty.

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Our families rented 4 properties this week. This was the nicest by far. Great space for family dining, huge kitchen for meal prep, NUMEROUS decks for outdoor conversations. It was great. An easy walk to the beach, tons of parking in the driveway. It is great.

Golf trip

Property was nice, all enjoyed. Did not like that we had to make the beds upon arrival which was not communicated prior to arrival. We were later arriving and delayed us after a long day traveling and golfing.

Perfect Spot!

This house was perfect, great location, just a few minutes walk to the beach, and super clean. And I mean seriously clean. Immaculate. House was huge, had all the kitchen stuff we needed to make dinners. The hosts were also great, responded super quick to any questions and helped us out when we needed. Would love to come back and stay here again. 0 complaints.

Perfect Spot

Great Location! Very welcoming home!

My husband and I hosted our kids with their families for vacation. The main floor was perfect for cooking and visiting. Great dining table to be together and the amenities were on point. We felt so prepared for a relaxing week with no stress. A quick walk to the beach and a great neighborhood for evening walks. The countless decks provided privacy and comfort. The whole family was thoroughly impressed with the home. Location was ideal, felt very secluded but the proximity to sites, stores and beaches was perfect. We would book this location again when visiting the outer banks area. The host was wonderful to work with and it was so appreciated to get what you pay for.

Beautiful home - great location!

The house was even more beautiful than the photos show - and impeccably clean. The neighborhood was quiet; easy walk to the beach; great location for shopping, restaurants and connection to both Duck and Kitty Hawk. The hosts provided excellent communication and we had no issues with entry/arrival/departure. We will definitely be back!

Perfect for a family getaway!

The trip was fantastic from start to finish. Property owner was extremely responsive and helpful before and during our stay. The little extras in the home for a toddler (highchair, baby gate, etc) were a welcome surprise and made our stay easy and comfortable! The house was impeccable and the location was extremely convenient to both the beach and downtown Duck for shopping. We would absolutely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area and would stay again!

We came to celebrate our son’s birthday and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to stay here! This house was spectacular. It was spotless, the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in! It had everything we needed. The welcome basket was a very sweet touch and made us feel welcomed.

Lovely Property!

We had a great stay at this property. It was spacious and spotless. The owners had so many conveniences in the house! I felt like I was in my own kitchen!! The bedrooms are great size and most of them have decks. The proximity to the beach is also a huge plus. We walked each time and it wasn’t exhausting even after hours at the beach. The neighborhood is wooded and super quiet and chill. We loved it and will hopefully return!!

Forever Memories

This was our first beach house we have booked as a Family. This house did not disappoint! It was spotless and beautifully decorated! Amazing location, property, and owners. Perfect family vacation!

Our stay included my aging parents as well as my teenage kids. It's not easy to please such a vast age range but our stay at this beautiful house was perfect in every way possible! Located on a quiet and private street a few minutes walking distance to the beach with access to private parking mere steps from the beach, the location was ideal. We also appreciated that the location was close to shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and even a Walmart that was only 5 minutes away by car. As for the house, everything was brand new and in pristine condition. It felt like everything in the house from the comfortable beds to the smallest appliances were never used before. Very impressive. Finally, the owners Shawn and Shannon were so attentive to every question and concern and always responded promptly and warmly to all our needs. We couldn't have asked for more hospitable property owners.... Honestly, I can't think of anything to criticize about our stay at this property. Would recommend this place to everyone and look forward to the opportunity to stay here again!

Excellent location - close to beach

We loved staying at this property in Southern Shores, NC. The home was very clean, updated, and had lots of room for family members to spread out. There were plenty of areas to gather and play games and also plenty of areas to find quiet moments and solitude. The communication from the property owners was fantastic and they were super responsive with any questions we had. Short walk to the beach in a very quiet neighborhood. Would love to go back next summer.

Home Away From Home in Southern Shores

Shawn & Shannon’s place was as advertised and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our holiday weekend. Their home was spotless, accommodating, in the perfect location within a short walk to the beach and with modern upgrades. We hope to be back next year!
