Hoteller nær Kit Jones Historic Landmark

"Vacationing family of 5 with 3 kids, 2 connecting rooms. Had a fabulous time at Oaks on the River. Spacious luxurious rooms, very comfortable beds, 100 % clean, friendly staff all over, great restaurant for evening dining and ala carte breakfast. Beautiful river view from rooms and restaurant. Only inconvenience was the heated pool was not heated :-("

"Great breakfast. Friendly owners. Easy, safe parking. Fabulous views. Nice big comfortable screen porch. Great nearby restaurants. Lovely, old small town. "

"I would have like to have been able to swim in the pool. I asked before I booked and was told that the pool would be opened. Unfortunately, this did not happen. There was also construction or remodeling going on in the building. I would have liked to know this in advance as well. Had I been privileged to accurate information, I would have made another choice."

"This was the most disgusting hotel room I've ever encountered, the floor was sticky, the bedding smell. I couldn't even sleep in it, she seemed to be malfunctioning. It was either too hot or too cold, it was shampoo soap, and "boywash" in the shower that was hopefully mislabeled. It was incredibly noisy, and there were bugs crawling around in the room. I could go on my own, but I think you get the picture."

"The receptionist was sleeping in a chair at 5 pm on arrival. She posted a sign that they were sold out and only got up when I told her we had a reservation. The rooms floor was filthy. There was no clock or telephone in the room. The TV was barely working and there was no guide. We should have left. "

"The floor was "swepted" but was not clean. I thought the bathroom doorknob was on backwards, but then I realized the door was removed and rehung upside down. The pillows were very thin. THE shower was good, very generous with the hot water, the a/c worked well and the staff was nice. Overall, I really wasn't impressed."

"Plenty of parking. Easy check-in/check-out process. The room was spacious and clean with a nice bathroom and plenty of towels, two comfortable beds, two TV's, and a mini kitchen. The free breakfast was nice with plenty of options. "

"Room was dated and mold in tub and walls of bath. Curtains did not keep huge lights outside from shining into room. Dining table was dirty at bfast. Food was fine and plenty to choose from. As a Hilton Member this one was not a great stay and there are many more choices across both sides of hiway. Would not stay here again."

"Very rough part of town… adjacent buildings with boarded windows and people loitering at all hours. Right next to a loud bar. Six foot fence around property, I think that’s enough said. Only positive the doors are internal and not external."
