The apartment was exceptionally clean and had all the amenities needed for us to feel comfortable. It's a little far out for a quick walk to the city center, but the area is beautiful safe and quiet. "Location was amazing, every attraction is within a short few minutes walk. There were pubs, restaurants right below which we did not find noisy. Apartment had a lift, we stayed in apt 13 on the 5th floor with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a balcony with a nice view overlooking the Calton Hill. Checking in was easy with a pin code for the entry gate, lift and apt, felt very safe with CCTV around the common areas. Whole house was fully equipped with heaters, even for the bathroom floors. "Actually, we were not able to stay. I did climb the 30 steps to get to the apartment, and it was a very nice place. 40 years ago, it would have been suitable for my wife and I. It would be better suited to younger travelers since all bags have to be carried up the steps. However, I cannot fault the owners because I did not pay close enough attention to the description"

"Lovely apartment on a wonderful local street. Not in the touristy area, which we loved, but some might find it too out-of-the-way. Walking to Stockbridge was wonderful, but New Town was 20 minutes uphill. Cabs/Uber were very tough to get, but that seemed a citywide issue. "
