It took a while to warm up the house. Even with the heat on it was chilly in the house. Great washing machine and good to have 2 bathrooms. Best to enjoy this house in good weather."

"We stayed at the Historic Hideaway for two nights with another couple. The apartment was clean and well decorated and we loved the exposed stone walls. We weren’t going to attempt getting the car into the drive, but we were able to find parking on the street with a parking disc. Since we were away most of the daytime hours, this never presented an issue (though we knew of the nearby parking garage, if we needed it.) The host also had great local recommendation. "This townhouse has it all! Large and well furnished interiors, nicely equipped kitchen, and a fabulous location close enough to downtown Kinsale to walk to everything, but on a quiet side street. We would recommend it highly to anyone looking for space, comfort, and very nice ambience. Carmen is a charming host, and helped us with anything we needed as soon as we asked! "This property is perched at the end of a cul-de-sac overlooking the Atlantic and some of the Irish seacoast. There are lots of windows to enjoy the views. The house is clean, very well-stocked, and offers guests a chance to have a memorable get-away. I would definitely return here if I am coming back to Ireland."

"Great communication leading up to our arrival. Great advice on local area and futher afield. We took her advice - less can sometimes be more - and explored and enjoyed the local coastline and experieces to the full, ensuring we have to come back for more!! The fresh eggs and salmon kindly provided were a breakfast treat sitting out in the sunshine and later that evening enjoying our bottle of wine in the setting sun, what a glorious spot and lovely accomodation."

"We completely enjoyed our stay. The property was exactly as described. There were so many touches that show that the hosts have worked really hard to ensure that their guests are comfortable. It's a combination of old world in a farmhouse over 200 years old with restored stone walls, old family photos and original furniture with modern touches such as USB ports, modern lighting. It's a very thoughtful property. We hope that we have the opportunity to stay there again."

"You need to drive om small but scenic roads to get there - but when you arrive you are met with the most impressive view. The pictures shown in the advert are real! :-) The house is placed in a very beautiful spot - with at great view. The house itself is in a very good condition, clean and tidy and eco friendly - and very tasteful arranged. Everything worked and Doris, the landlady was available by mail and phone all the time for any questions. I will definitely recommend this place to others...

"The house is sited on a hill overlooking the water and harbor of Kinsale. It is a large property, plenty of room for kids to enjoy the outside. The house is comfortable and spacious. The house could use a few things to make a stay easier. Figuring out the appliances and washer is a task. The instruction books have been shredded to some degree over the years, and it took far too long to figure out the different appliances. "Varun the host was great and readily available with any questions we had and we appreciated that we were able to check-in early. There was a problem with the wi-fi initially but Varun went out of his way to get it fixed as soon as possible. The location was fantastic, walking distance to everything: pubs/restaurants grocery store, etc & a few minutes walk from the bus. Bedroom was a bit small but manageable, kitchen had everything we needed."
