"We traveled to South Dakota for spring break and we Visited crazy horse, Mt Rushmore, Custer state park, mammoth site in hot springs, the town of lead and deadwood, drove the scenic byway from spearfish south, and ended our trip with a drive through the badlands before we headed home."

"We stayed in the cottage for 7 days. It was the perfect location for all the activities we had planned for the week. It was a quite community with the lake just minutes away.The cottage had everything we needed for cooking meals in. The host were very helpful and answered all our questions. "Listing pictures were quite accurate. Hosts live next door so they are there if you need anything. Kitchen is small but very functional. Could not find local channels or access to national news (NBC, CBS, etc.) on their TV, but only a minor annoyance. Beds were comfortable. What we liked most was the location 2 miles from main road, but very quiet and felt more like 20 miles from town. Saw deer alongside the road several times. Would highly recommend without reservations."

"Two complaints. We were at the mercy of the main floor thermostat. Night temps were too warm. TV options were awful, especially on the weekend. All TV options were "free" Visio "channels". No Local networks for news or weather. Not one national football game available. VISIO free channels are not real channels. Please consider adding a real stove and a real refrigerator. We struggled with cooking (abandoned) and food cooling options forced us to buy ice and coolers. Apparently you planned on...

"We we're going to the Buffalo Roundup in Custer State Park and planned on sitting on the north side. It worked out very well. The location of the ranch was excellent. The place was very well kept up with the exception of the fireplace which was one of the reasons it was a location of choice. The fireplace was listed as part of the perks but it did not work and the owner said it had not worked in several years. We were quite disappointed and they need to change their listing. "This worked well for our short stay and was well equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed having the grill and propane fire right outside the door with plenty of chairs. Location was important and this was ideal. Not a drive I would enjoy on a motorcycle but if you are in a car, this is a very nice setting and affordable. The property description is accurate."
