"The stay was lovely, create location from the train station and Kendal for the festival. Communication was great with the hosts who were helpful and accommodating when we cancelled one night. "The Old Chapel was a delightful apartment. For us, a couple, it was perfectly presented with all the facilities one needs. It might be a little cramped if there were four adults staying. The access driveway to the property was a little narrow in places. We have an estate car and we only just squeezed through the gaps between walls and other buildings but as had been said before larger vehicles could be left in Hutton Lane."

"This is an ideal cottage if you want some peace and tranquility within a picturesque location. The living accommodation is on 3 levels so be aware there are 2 flights of stairs to get to all the amenities. The cottage kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils, etc you need and the living room and beds make for a very comfortable stay. Would definitely stay here again."

"Robert, and Lesley are friendly hosts, it is a quiet location, but only 2 miles from the main town facilities. Very clean, spacious, comfortable accommodation . It was nice to walk out in the fields with a river nearby, would recommend a stay here to anyone ."

"House is clean and tidy. The kitchen has everything we need. Water pressure and temperature in all bathroom are perfect. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The heater in ground floor got very loud noise after few hours central heating been turn on. Need to turn up the heating,(e.g. from 0 to 2, from 2 to 3)to stop the noise. There were high pitch "beeps" from ground floor which woke everyone in house at 3am and 3:30am on the first night. Sounds like the smoke detector but we were not sure. However,...

"Have just arrived home after a fantastic stay at this property. We were 4 adults and 2 children under 10 years of age. The house was bigger than I expected and well laid out for our group. It's in a great location and easy to find if you pay attention to the great directions from the owners. It was our first time as a family group staying in the lakes and this cottage was perfectly located for us with easy access into Kendal town and out to the further lakes and towns. "The cottage itself was a little dated but clean and tidy with everything you needed. The view was spectacular but the road leading to the property was not for the faint hearted and very challenging. The small cottage is one of several holiday let’s on the same property and as the larger property was fully occupied with several visitors during our stay and between 6-10 cars we had to park outside the front of our bungalow which meant we saw our car not the view. Not bad but good be better."

"Very near the motorway. You are in Windermere in less than half an hour. Lovely area. Quiet. The apartments are very well equipped and spacious. The views are quite nice. Parking is right next to the lodges which is great. Felt secure. The few points I would like them to improve on. 1. The gym timings should be extended to 10pm from the current 8 pm 2. The children play area should be improved. There are no swings. Just a slide and a tree house "
