"Our room was really comfortable and very homely but tastefully decorated at the same time. Good bed and good cooking facilities. The kitchen was well stocked. We had beautiful gum trees with koalas right near our door. American River is a great location as its half way between Penneshaw and Kingscote. We really enjoyed our stay."

"If you love an amazing view then this is the place that you want to stay. You could spend hours just watching the changing view during the day. We had a wallaby and her joey feed around the cabin which was lovely. Easy walk to the beach to enjoy either the beautiful beach or to enjoy some fishing. The bed was comfy but the couches could do with an update. We were lucky enough to not have anyone else in the other cabin as there is not enough separation or privacy if there was someone else...

"There are a few minor issues, that I came across. Unknown to me or the other neighbours upon speaking to them they didn't know the place had another cabin on the property, I, like them thought we had our own fenced off areas.. the laundry sink was dirty.. I didn't use the bar as it had a very dusty layer off dust. Cob webs minor but alot.. some of the dishes were not cleaned properly. Had no idea how to use the sound system, lol.. I couldn't for the life of me light the fire, Reasons for extra...
