Really enjoyed me stay at Ibis Kochi city. Close to centre square mall and the river side walk. Plenty of space in the hotel and the bed was very comfortable. Safety box was provided. Reception was very friendly and called me 30mins before check out. Thank you so much

This is my 2nd time at Ibis, Kochi. I'd loved my stay last time at Ibis more than any other and that is why I chose it for a 2nd time. Even though the overall experience has been good, I could tell that the shampoo and soap dispensers hadn't been changed in a long time. Barring this, my stay has been pleasant.

Everything was pretty good. But breakfast seems to be just okay. Their sambhar had a bad smell. But staff took initiative to remove it right away when we approached them. Rooms where neat and clean and customer service was good too. Stay was worth for the price

First of all,we got no assistance getting our luggage to the rooms, which would have been greatly appreciated after a long journey. The room keys need to be activated each time we leave and return to the room. That was very very inconvenient and very annoying. Breakfast choices very limited and got boring after a few days. No seats provided in waiting area as we wait for our rides, which can take as long as 30 minutes. Staff were polite and helpful

Could have been better!
The room was typical Ibis, no-frills. Bed is comfortable. But the engineering side did not think about ease of use of bathrooms. To start with, the toilet door had a magnetic catch and a round handle which makes it a feat trying to open the toilet door. No grip. Ditto with the shower door. Imagine trying to open with wet / soapy hands sans a door without proper handle, and that too with a magnetic strip. The drain provided in the shower area is not capable of draining water at the rate the shower delivers water. resulting in water logging in the shower area. There appears to be no protoco; of house keeping visit every day. All I got was a couple of tea bags on the second day on my request. Only on the third day, was it attended to.

Everything was fine, the staff was helpful. Especially, Jude from Front Desk, Anjali from Rooms who helped with an early morning support. The entire restaurant team was very warm. However, we had one problem - we felt our room temperature rising in the night. During the day the panel showed 22 Degrees, then we bring it down on the control panel, but we realized much later during the course of our stay that the temp was not actually coming down. Then we called the reception, and explained that the panel was not working....surprisingly, we found the temperature came down to 18 Degrees, without even the technician coming to our room to check... This was quite intriguing. How could a technical glitch be managed without the technician coming to our room?? This means they had kept the temperature stable from a different control panel. May be the previous guest would have asked for the same. But shouldnt the management of the AC thermostat be left for the guest to manage. We spent nearly 4 nights out of our 5 night stay thinking that the temperature actually coming down to 18 Degrees. Since we were having a long day during the course of our stay, we simply crashed after bringing the temperature on the panel to 18 Deg, and woke up feeling warm. On the final day, we informed the reception and the temperature actually came down.... Not a good experience

The hotel is well located on MG Road for shopping enthusiasts. Metro station, public transport and Ferry station easily accessible. Rooms are small like all IBIS hotels. Interconnected rooms available for families. Excellent Breakfast and Meals food. Had an issue with Reservation which was resolved later - be careful to confirm with hotel.

All the things I loved
I checked in at 4am after a very delayed flight and the man who checked me in was completely welcoming. I slept only a few hours and then I had to wake and do urgent shopping errands for a work trip. Again the front desk was helpful to suggest places I could find my needs. Breakfast was hot tasty with lots of choices. My bed and pillows were completely comfortable. I forgot shampoo and when I called it was immediately brought to my room. I was shown to an iron and ironing board. It was better than being at home! The neighborhood is completely alive and rich. Anything you need is there. Marine Drive is walkable. 100% I will stay here again when in Cochin!

IBIS or Abyss? Avoid at all costs.
Hotel policies patently anti guest. Front office staff resort to lies. Billing for items that I have never ordered. Please avoid this IBIS hotels. Some of the staff are good they need to get to a better hotel for good career in the industry.

Central location, and very comfortable
Very well located, super cozy and comfortable. Only for 1 night, so cant say too much. The room is not big, bathroom very small but overall very comfortable
