"I booked Upjohn House but was told I had to come to Henderson Castle to get the keys, and I should stay there instead. It was nice enough, the setting of Henderson Castle is beautiful. I had a lovely French breakfast my first morning, but when I came down the second morning, no one was around, I was told breakfast was from 6:30-9:30, and I was downstairs at 7:00. "First of all, I couldn’t get checked in due to the third-party booking app I used. The gentleman was kind enough to allow me to go to my room in lieu of waiting for the response. He knew that I was a travel nurse because I frequent there often. My advice to anyone thinking of staying here is to book at the front desk directly with him as he will match any third-party app and there’s never any issues"

Room was mostly clean but shampoo/conditioner had not been refilled before my stay and were not refilled on my cleaning day. Staff were somewhat helpful but not as helpful as they could have been, especially regarding the snacks for purchase when they were not willing to point to something I was looking for even though I asked and instead let me find it myself."

Området byder ikke på noget særligt, men er ok som udgangspunkt for ture ud til f.eks kysten af Lake Michigan, til Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo og Battle Creek."
