Aloha Suites ~ 2 Bedrooms~ Cloud Forest

Welcome to Aloha Suites, a completely private retreat with its own entrance, two bedrooms, one bathroom, and no shared spaces. Originally built as an ʻohana unit (Hawaiian for in-law quarters), this serene hideaway is just 7.5 miles from Kona International Airport and 6 miles from the heart of Kona town. Nestled among the native forestry on the peaceful slopes of Hualālai, the retreat offers both mountain and ocean views.



The unit is fully private, with only one common wall connected to the host’s garage (double-locked at all times for your security and privacy).



Inside the Retreat

Room 1: Spacious bedroom with a king-size bed, Hawaiian artwork, TV sitting area, and a sleeper sofa for optional additional sleeping space.

Room 2: Across the hall, featuring a king-size bed, closet, and recliner chair.

Bathroom: A spacious private bathroom (see photos).

Kitchenette: Small counter area with microwave, mini-fridge, toaster, and coffee maker—similar to a standard hotel setup. Please note there is no stove, oven, washer, or dryer.



Property & Parking

One dedicated parking stall is located directly in front of the unit, marked with orange cones.

The property spans three acres, including part of the Hawaiʻi forest reserve, so you’ll be surrounded by the cool, misty beauty of the only cloud forest in the U.S. Unlike tropical rainforests, cloud forests sit at higher elevations and are often draped in dreamlike mist. Expect the soothing sounds of nature—birds, breezes, and occasional coqui frogs.



Location Highlights

Hiking: Makāula ʻOʻoma Trails (including the “Jurassic” Loop) are nearby.

Coffee Tours: Mountain Thunder Coffee Farm offers free guided tours and lava tubes.

Nature & Culture: Kaloko Cloud Forest walking tours and Paʻina Place event venue are a short drive away.

Beaches: King Kamehameha Beach (6.5 miles), Kailua Pier, and Pine Trees surf beach (8.7 miles).

Convenience: Costco is just 6 miles down the hill—yet you’ll feel worlds away in this serene forest setting.



Guest Experience

Shampoo, conditioner, towels, and beach towels provided. Please bring any additional amenities you may need.

Early check-in requests are passed to our cleaning team and approved only if the unit is ready.

Only registered guests are permitted on the property.



Host & Property Notes

Our family lives on the property but respects your privacy—interaction is minimal. We’ll simply wave hello if we see you in passing. Please message us through the app for any assistance.



We do have a small family dog (about 24 lbs). He is friendly and kept within an invisible fence near the main house; he does not enter guest areas. For safety, we ask that guests remain within the area immediately surrounding Aloha Suites and not wander into other parts of the property.
