"We stayed in one of the suites on the 8th floor over black rock. The rooms are clean and have a great view. You can tell the hotel is aging from random sewer smells and electronics not always functioning well but you’re in Hawaii so it doesn’t affect you much. They did change the breakfast buffet to be inside now that they added a nighttime Italian restaurant. The staff was lovely. "This was a really lovely place to stay. It was very clean, comfortable and beautiful views with the koi pond waterfall off the spacious patio. The hosts were great communicators and we were checked on after our first night to make sure all was okay with the accommodations and it was. The resort and and beach and pools were all incredible. We definitely recommend it and would absolutely stay here again!"

"Everything was great about this trip, but mostly our ocean front view and the location near Whalers Village. It was fantastic. The listing was accurate and everything was great in the place. My only complaint was the lack of service at the resort -- new Covid times means there is no service at the room. I asked someone to come and remove my trash and was told I had to take it out myself.
