Christmas in Maui

We absolutely loved our stay at the Westin villas. All of the accommodations were wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed this resort.

Westin Villas never disappoints

We had the best time as always! We love this resort and the layout of the units. It is perfect for our family. The resort has all the amenities needed.

Great space for a family

The grounds were beautifully kept, staff was extremely accommodating and quickly took care of any needs that we had. Lots of activities for teens to enjoy. Overall, we loved our stay here.

Breath Taking stay in Maui

This was the most incredible resort my family and I have every stayed at! The way the resort is set up, there are a chain of beautiful resorts all alongside the ocean but this one was the best. The room/suite surpassed our needs. It was truly everything we could have ever imagined. Highly recommend the stay. We will be back!

We loved it! We have teenage children and they loved all of the amenities the resort offered (tennis, pickle ball, gym, sauna, etc…). The grounds were beautiful and we loved the set up of the room.

Lovely family vacation

We had a great time at the Westin. The beach there is lovely and the water is warm. The pool with the slide was fun, but it was nearly impossible to get a lounge chair with an umbrella. Towel service was easy and it was convenient to be able to rent scuba gear right there. The general stores were well stocked and convenient, and the location near Whaler's Village and Lahaina is great. The shave ice truck was an added bonus. Two downsides to this resort. The first is less important, but the WiFi was terrible, and cell coverage wasn't great, so be aware if you're planning to work while you're there. The second is a bigger deal. This unit was described as a "2BR condo" but this is really two separate condos with a shared foyer, but their own keyed entrances. The first is a large one bedroom and the second is a studio. It was okay for us since my daughter is 13 and could stay separated like that but it would absolutely not work for a baby or young child. I don't know if the Westin has any true 2 BR units, so this is just a review of the unit I rented on vrbo.

The beach is directly in front of the resort. Perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Kids played in the waves and used boogie boards. The resort was clean and comfortable. The rooms were quiet and beds were comfortable. Restaurant was not great but the BBQ area worked well. I would stay here again.

The rooms were great. There were just so many people on site it seemed that the pools, even though there were 3, could hardly accommodate the potential for all rooms to be sold out. The pools were packed and often there was no where to sit. The bars and service was good. The beach was great, but expensive to rent chairs. I'm surprised you had to pay extra for the beach on top of the resort fees.

Exceeded our high expectations

We travel worldwide, and we have come to appreciate top tier accommodations. This property exceeded our expectations! The condo was very clean, and the views were stunning. The staff was professional and helpful. The food (and drinks) at every restaurant were fantastic! Snorkeling, paddleboarding, and the spa were all huge hits with our family. We enjoyed it so much that we booked another week as soon as we got back home!

We loved this resort, our second time and we are looking forward to going back soon. This is a wonderful resort for families. We have 2 boys and the pools are what the kids love best. Location is great, you can snorkel at the resort. Also close to Front Street in Lahaina where all the shops are.

We thoroughly enjoyed this resort. The condo was really nice and the hotel amenities were great. We ate in the restaurant and bar near us, used the pool, weight room and laid on the beach. We didn't go this year and I really missed it.

Great Family Vacation

We reserved two, two-bedroom villas for our family of twelve and had a great vacation together. Although they could not guarantee the rooms would be close together when we made the reservation, they noted our request and we were very pleased to have adjacent rooms when we checked-in. The pools were great for the various ages of our grandchildren. The entire staff was friendly, courteous, professional and always very helpful. The rooms were clean and well-equipped with all that we needed for our stay. We used the kitchen and the laundry provided in the rooms and everything worked well. Its was also helpful to have access to the shuttle that operates between the other properties in Kaanapali.

best oceanfront in Maui!

This hotel was fantastic! The pool area goes very close to the ocean. The boardwalk in between the ocean and hotel was great - we went on walks, jogging every day and had great views of the ocean. This hotel is very family oriented for kids of all ages. The pool is fun and inviting with lots of space if anyone just wanted to relax. The rooms were very comfortable. The hotel is very well maintained. We can't wait to go back!

Beautiful

The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas is a beautiful property. The beach right outside the hotel is nice and wide, and the snorkeling on the reef right offshore is fabulous. The resort has all the amenities you could want. It is very much children-friendly, with kiddie pools and activities. The staff are friendly and helpful. Lahaina is close-by, and a Westin shuttle is very convenient to get into town and avoid driving and parking. The rooms themselves are fairly standard, but nice. We had a total of eight people, including two adult couples and four children. The one criticism I have is that it was not completely clear that our two-bedroom oceanfront condo was actually two separate condos that were combined. There was one door leading off the main hallway into a small foyer, with two doors opening off the foyer, obviously to give the option of renting to two separate parties. The two spaces are completely separate, with separate kitchens, and have separate balconies (lanai's) that do not communicate. It may be good for privacy, but does not give the feel of a large, two bedroom unit. This situation deserves more clarification as you consider booking. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I would stay there again.
