"Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and well appointed. Thankful we got moved to 1st floor as no lift and I have some mobility issues. A fan in room would have been a great addition as it was quite warm. And Leaving windows open brought in traffic noise from road out front. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay again."

A couple of small things: 1- It would have been nice to know there was a flight of narrow stairs to get to room, 2- Bathroom sink is blocked by overhanging cabinets, toothbrushing very difficult, 3- bathroom door drifts open against the bed unless closed and then the bathroom is very hot. "We love this chain but it’s the first time we’ve stayed at the Hotel Indigo in York. Exactly the standard of service we expect and the surroundings are lovely. Gorgeous breakfast too - help yourself to tighter, juices and pastries and then waiter service for the hot breakfast.
It turns out that as IHG members we were also entitled to a late check out at no extra cost!
Great trip and we will definitely check out Hitel Indigo in more cities."

"Don't drive, arrive by train and everything can be walked from here. Vibrant city centre location so can be noisy at night. Room standards vary from the amazing to the basic so worth paying more. 4* as we got a basic room night 1 but then they moved us to amazing room! Food and staff were really 5*."

"Fantastic couple of nights here, check in was easy, parking either straight out front or on the street around the corner. Bus stop just outside with an easy trip into town so we could have a drink with dinner and not worry about driving. Can touch on to the bus with a credit card.
