"Underwhelming. Although a gorgeous hotel, my husband and I were not entirely satisfied with our stay. The rooms were fine and they're environmentally aware, which is always a plus, but some things were lacking for a luxury hotel such as this.
First of all, the cleaning was not great. Occasionally old, wet towels were crumpled up and only halfway cleaned. Second of all, children were allowed to run wild in the spa, which meant that the one hour we booked during our stay was completely ruined by...

"Fredelig beliggenhed i gå afstand fra centrum. Fin atmosfære, usædvanligt venligt og gennem rutineret værtspar. Præcis som et engelsk guest house bør være. Fine muligheder for varieret morgenmad og fleksibel betjening af samme.
Eneste udfordring var, at vores værelse lå på 2. sal med meget stejl trappe mellem 1. og 2. etage. Men til at overkomme for et veltrænet par midt i 60'erne :-) "

"Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and well appointed. Thankful we got moved to 1st floor as no lift and I have some mobility issues. A fan in room would have been a great addition as it was quite warm. And Leaving windows open brought in traffic noise from road out front. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay again."

Room standards vary from the amazing to the basic so worth paying more. 4* as we got a basic room night 1 but then they moved us to amazing room! Food and staff were really 5*."

"Fantastic couple of nights here, check in was easy, parking either straight out front or on the street around the corner. Bus stop just outside with an easy trip into town so we could have a drink with dinner and not worry about driving. Can touch on to the bus with a credit card. Breakfast was freshly prepared to order by the hosts and was excellent quality! Would stay again."

"We love this chain but it’s the first time we’ve stayed at the Hotel Indigo in York. Exactly the standard of service we expect and the surroundings are lovely. Gorgeous breakfast too - help yourself to tighter, juices and pastries and then waiter service for the hot breakfast.
It turns out that as IHG members we were also entitled to a late check out at no extra cost!
Great trip and we will definitely check out Hitel Indigo in more cities."
