Hiking and Relaxing

Quiet, comfortable and just what I was looking for as my home base for day hiking adventures.Look forward to staying here again!
After my hikes, the hot tub was wonderful. Here is one of the views while sitting in the tub.

We spent 2 nights at this location. The indications to reach the place were accurate. The unit was clean and matches the description and photos. The host left some delicious homemade brownies for us to enjoy. There were also some snacks and breakfast options.

We really enjoyed our time and the hosts were incredibly kind! It was the perfect site to explore several areas along the front range and the hot tub under the clear night sky was absolutely amazing. We certainly hope to come back!

Beautiful, cozy little suite! It was absolutely perfect for my husbands and my romantic, second honeymoon. The hosts put so much thougt into this and it shows! There was a yummy (BIG) slice of blueberry cake and an array of snacks and breakfast-y type things were available; there was even a pint of half in the fridge. Soaking in the hot tub under the stars was lovely. It is in the perfect location to visit many beautiful areas. We visited RMNP/Estes Park, Idaho Springs, Mount Blue Sky, Lyons, Nederland and Lefthand Reservoir (4×4 road!) Jamestown itself is a darling little mountain community. They have a Mercantile Cafe that serves pizzas on Friday, brunch on Sundays; we attended both. The brunch entertainment was a mountain string band; so very Colorado! There are bears in the town; one just casually walked down the street one afternoon as we were heading back out. So cool! We would happily stay here again!

We stayed with Wendy and Tim in Jamestown for our recent trip to the Rocky Grass Festival in Lyons. Their property and hospitality made for an idyllic holiday! They supply privacy, beauty, local information, yummy sweetbread in the morning, and a hot tub featuring an amazing sky at night. So relaxing and peaceful!

Great Place to Stay

The hosts were some of the nicest people I've ever met. They were wonderful. I enjoyed the area immensely and the property worked out well for me.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed - even drawing a map to help us find the trails for a hike. The kitchenette is well stocked, even with food items for breakfast. However there is no room for a table in the kitchenette so we figured out a way to move a small table in the bedroom so we could use it to sit down to eat. When the host noticed this, she brought in another chair, as there was only one. We could also use this table to play cards, as there is no television. In the town of Jamestown we enjoyed the food and entertainment at "The Merc".All in all it was a fun experience, and we recommend it.

The owners were very sweet and helpful. We enjoyed the homemade zucchini bread and cookies also. It is located in the mountains with a beautiful view.

Great little mountain get-away

Great place in a beautiful little mountain town. Not as much privacy as we would have preferred, but everything else was perfect. And for the price, it was unbeatable.

Caution: Incredible Hosts Await

Nice people with beautiful souls. Warm, comfy house in a quaint town with views for days. You can hike out of the driveway, catch live music on Fridays, or just soak in the hot tub. Highly recommend and hope to return, one day!

Delightful mountain suite

Staying with Wendy & Tim is a delight - the suite adjoining their house is quaint and comfy and exactly the right amount of space for folks looking for a home base for mountain adventures. The space is private, but your hosts are so wonderful you’re gonna want to meet them and chat a bit. They were very gracious and welcoming and provided a host of little amenities that saved us time grabbing coffee/cream etc. looking forward to visiting again!

We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO property in Jamestown, Colorado. The home was beautiful, clean, and incredibly quiet—perfect for a relaxing getaway. Wendy and Tim, the hosts, were very friendly and welcoming. They even left us some delightful treats, which were a fantastic snack after our hiking adventures. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to unwind in a peaceful setting!

Wonderful Stay!

Tim and Wendy are among the most thoughtful and caring hosts we have ever known. Not only is this charming little suite (with a bedroom, full bath, washer/dryer, and kitchette) spotlessly clean, they equip it daily with homebaked cookies, banana bread, and snacks as well as yogurt, juice, and sparkling water. Their home is a peaceful haven, filled with the spirit of authentic kindness. We will gladly stay here again.

The room, bathroom and small kitchen area were spotless, and an outdoor table by the door was the perfect place to enjoy my morning coffee. A rabbit even hopped by a couple of times. The hot tub was located near my private entry, and it looked inviting, though I was busy visiting my son in nearby Boulder and didn't use it. Wendy was a terrific hostess, proving daily homemade muffins and other treats. The location is in the tiny, quiet town of Jamestown and is about a 30-minute drive from Boulder on winding mountain roads. A cafe that offers live music is a short walk away, though I didn't try it. If you want to stay in a happening place in the heart of Boulder, this room is not for you. If you prefer a quiet retreat a short drive from the urban action, this place is perfect.

Quiet place to unwind

We came to CO to hike in the mountains all day and so really just needed a place to sleep. The room was wonderful, the bathroom clean and perfect for our needs, and the little kitchenette was an added bonus. Wendy checked on us every day to ensure we didn’t need anything, and stocked our kitchenette with fresh fruit and little homemade treats every day as well! I would have appreciate a lock on the door to the main house to lock while sleeping at night, and the mattress was a little hard but we were so exhausted we didn’t notice much. Other than those very small details it was wonderful! The hot tub was amazing after hiking all day as well!

Wonderful, peaceful, secret hideaway!

What a hidden gem! This guest suite is quite the find for the person looking for serenity, peace, and reconnecting to mother nature. I am so hesitant to say how wonderful my stay was because I want to keep it all to myself! The owners are the kindest folks and very accommodating. Wendy's fresh breads in the mornings were such a treat to enjoy. The town of Jamestown is rich with history and wonderfully friendly folks. I loved my foot soaks in the river, exploring the Blue Jay mine, the old cemetery, and nearby mtn bike trails. I will absolutely stay here again if possible. Great energy & good vibes all around!! Save me a spot for next time, Wendy! :)

Rocky Mountain Stay

Wendy and her husband were wonderful hosts. The location was beautiful. A variety of hiking options just steps away from the door. They had a nice binder with information about food, the area, and hiking. The hot tub was the perfect way to end the evening. Everyone in the area was very friendly. My only suggestion is that they include something about not having locks between their place and the apartment we stayed in or a lock on the bedroom door. That could make a difference for some. We are from a small town so it didn’t bother us at all. If and when we come back to the area we definitely will see if they have an open spot for us to stay again. It was a great get away to reconnect with each other and nature. Thank you again for such an amazing stay.
