Welcome to THE Castle of OZ, a unique vacation rental on the Costa Rica's Pacific Coast. The ONLY "true" Castle in Central America! The Castle is a fantastic dream venue for destination weddings with a private amphitheater and reception area . This luxury castle is prized not only for its location in the lush tropical jungle, but also for its extraordinary design, decor and abundance of wildlife. Enjoy privacy in the middle of the jungle, yet 2 miles to Hermosa Beach and 5 miles to Jaco Beach with our free onsite shuttle service!

The Castle of Oz is unique with a bar, commercialized kitchen and private dungeon room. Take a dip in the large pool with hot tub and cascading waterfalls. Our guests have the best of both worlds...a sanctuary jungle with two waterfalls (one is 17 story) and private beach access with tiki hut/free surf lessons. The Castle has extraordinary architecture, each bedroom has their own private bath and private a/c and majestic black out drapery to get a peaceful nights rest. The entire top floor is the master suite which features a two-ton bathtub carved out of local rock, a waterfall shower and Lenai/balcony with ocean views. This exquisite Castle features an innovated solar power lighting system and rainwater harvesting to reduce your footprint on the environment.

Everything was expected for our last minute family vacation! The team was incredible and cannot say enough kind things about the staff. They were attentive before during and after our stay. Very unique/beautiful property, lots of wildlife seen every day, and very close car ride to a lot of beautiful beaches and towns to explore! Thanks for everything!

Awesome Stay at the Castle of Oz

My group of 15 friends had a great stay at the Castle of Oz. The property exceeded all expectations and we were very well taken care of by the entire support staff, who were available night and day to provide any assistance we required. They made our stay stress free! I highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Costa Rica.

Epic Bachelorette Adventure

Had my bachelorette party with 14 of us and it was nothing short of amazing. Jen, the host and owner is a true professional, far exceeded all my expectations. Everything was planned from the moment we got out of customs; tours were all close by, location is perfect. Loved seeing the monkeys on the property and even spotted a sloth. The photos do not even do this place justice, the property is huge in the jungle but was like we had this resort all to ourselves. Jaco and Hermosa beach are super close and convenient to have our own onsite driver, Charlie, minutes to the beach! Having Chef Diego for meals was an experience fit for a queen. They do weddings here as well, and too bad I have my venue already booked or I would definitely be having my wedding here at the Castle of Oz. Thank you for an epic time!

Perfect Castle for Bachelorette!

Absolutely stunning! Our bachelorette party had the time of our lives at this breathtaking castle in Costa Rica. From the luxurious amenities to the picturesque views, every moment felt like a fairytale. The host was incredibly accommodating and made sure our stay was nothing short of perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to celebrate our bride-to-be. Five stars all the way!

Fabulous 50th Anniversary Celebration in a Castle!

Family and friends came to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary, blown away when we arrived at the Castle, it was simply spectacular. The host Jen was beyond helpful prior to our stay, setting up all tours and chef services. We even got to renew our vows at the amphitheater since they do weddings as well. The views, location, and property are incredible, the details that had to go into building this is unimaginable. The free shuttle service onsite was helpful, whenever we wanted to go to the beach and into town, 5 minute drive. And Chef Diego (breakfast and lunch free chef services was a plus) his food was incredible, the other staff beyond helpful, polite, and rooms were impeccably clean. This is a magical place, a vacation that we will never forget.

Amazing Castle- bachelor party!

My friends and I planned a bachelor party at this castle for our good buddy. Jen (the host) was amazing organizing everything for us, guided tours, private chef, etc. the castle itself was something you’d see in a magazine. It was clean and well maintained. The location is great you are in the jungle with monkeys and toucans coming around all with being 5-10 min from the most beautiful beaches in the world. Close to Jaco, with a great nightlife and great restaurants and things to do. Favorite thing we did was the guided ATV tour we took through the jungle on the beaches it was awesome. Again, thanks to Jen for helping this be a trip our group of 18 guys will never forget!

Most incredible dream vacation!

We had the most amazing vacation experience, something like out of the movies! We were a group of 16 and the accommodations were five star and we were treated like royalty.The photos just do not do this mansion justice, the magnitude of the rooms, ceilings, and the handmade woodwork is incredible. The owners and local property manager arrange everything for you from airport transfers, tours, and chef services. The complementary shuttle to Hermosa Beach only minutes away or Jaco Beach, five minutes was an added plus, nothing to worry about, simply Pura Vida. The in-house chef is fabulous as well, fine dining in a Castle, we ate like Kings! Just venturing/hiking around the property in the middle of the jungle is a tour in itself, we were pleasantly surprised with monkeys on the bridge and many toucan sightings. The bedrooms and bathrooms were pristine, Yorleny the maid was exceptional. The ocean views and sunsets are breathtaking, most of the time we didn't want to leave the huge pool and hot tub with a bar right there! We had everything we would ever want or need for a luxurious vacation stay! Being this is brand new in 2023, I am sure this will be in the movies sometime soon! Owners have other properties in the area and definitely know how to manage Vacation Rentals for the stars! We will be back!

Unique Experience

A very unique stay. As this is a new property, it comes with some deficiencies. However, the property manager and staff were readily available to take care and act expediently to remedy them. We were a large group with a number of different personalities. But all in all, the time had been enjoyed by most. The castle theme was cool. The space was large enough to accommodate a group larger than ours. The road leading up the mountain to the property is a bit rough, but it should also be considered part of the experience. We did go into Jaco for a couple of dinners. However, they didn't come close to the food the Diego and Melvin, the onsite chefs, prepared. Unless you feel the need to escape the castle for meals, I would strongly suggest that you consider these guys for your evening meals. The cleaning staff was amazing. Bedding was changed every other day, towels were fresh and laid by the pool daily, and rooms and bathrooms were impeccably cleaned also on a daily basis. The castle offers beautiful views of the jungle surrounding as well as the ocean on two sides. This was a one stop shopping experience for us as the management arranged tours, airport transfers, and picking up of groceries and alcohol. They also provided at large sprinter van that was always at our disposal. If you are looking for a unique experience in luxury accommodations, surrounded by all of nature's beauty, you will find it all here!
