"The view was amazing and the appartment big."

"This was a lovely place to spend a short scuba diving vacation on the Izu Peninsula. The ocean views from my room were fantastic. The room was spacious and comfortable."

"Very nice hotel. Clean and friendly. "

We had booked this stay as an original Ryokan experience while in Japan and had decided to pay extra to get a good experience with hot spring and traditional Japanese room. We were very disappointed. The place seems very old and not well kept. Our room was moldy, dark and not pleasant at all. We had booked a room with a small outside area but it had no view at all and was a small grass area facing a wooden fence. All...

"My family of 3 stayed two nights at Hinodeya and it was a wonderful experience all around! This was our first visit to the Izu-Penninsula and we had such a great time. The owner and staff were so kind and accommodating, truly good spirits in this generational owned ryokan. The baths were very relaxing, the entire place was very clean and good spirits all around. If you’re looking for a family run experience vs. a corporate hotel, I highly suggest staying. Also, their massage chair is...
