"Great location to explore Skye. Views from the cottage were spectacular, was nice to have two sitting areas from which to enjoy them. House is very well equipped with everything we could’ve needed especially in the kitchen. Bedrooms well furnished too and very comfortable, blackout blinds were perfect for the early morning sun and having three bathrooms was a treat. Beds were comfy too. Our first visit to Skye and it didn’t disappoint!"

The info and photos online are dated and because that set expectations, our initial impression was disappointing - which planted a seed of doubt. Thankfully, the TV, mattresses and towels were all fine. Our stay would have also been enhanced by any kind of general info letter. "My partner and I absolutely loved the cottar! The interior is like a museum with many pictures, paintings and historic tools from the herring fishery exhibited. The house offered everything we need, including a very well equipped kitchen. The view is stunning and with the binoculair provided we enjoyed watching seals playing just in front of the house. Eoin was a great host and who showed to really care for this cottage and his guests. Would definitely recommend! :)"
